SOUL---IT'S SIZE AND LOCATION---JAINISM

Soul is of invisible form and weightless one, so far science could not prove existence of soul. But it is trying hard to discover main cause that leads to death. Failure of organs like heart, brain. kidney etc. are clinical reasons. But actual parting of unknown force from body is beyond it's reach. Such invisible force is termed as soul. Existence of soul is agreed upon by major religions but they differ with each other for it's form. Some believe it to be heart shape located in heart and so on. Interesting to know Jainism version of it. Let us study it as now.It has no color, taste. smell or touch. It is a combination of individual's Dyan,Darshan and Upyog.May be different in each as per his Karma.
Jainism believe it is spread over whole body. Actually first the soul enters mother's body and  take sperm as Aahar and built body as per individual Naam Karma. Then soul complete other 4 four remaining  "Prayapties",They are- body, organs, breathing, language and mind. To build body soul use sperm, and mother's intakes. Soul in  elephant and ant is exactly same with different coverage layers of Karma .It is all about "Chetana" soul has. Non living thing do not have Chetana.
All different organs are doing their work as eye can only see and ear  only can hear. They cannot do things of  other organs. Overall clarity of such thing or human is realized by soul at it's entirety. Just check a thorn pinch in leg send pain feeling to entire body. A favorite dishes smell makes tongue watery It proves presence over whole body. Any  living soul from  Ekendraya to Panchedriya small or big and their
decisions or any reaction to circumstances is being guided by soul. It depends upon his Karma, it's Uday-Bhav and backing of good deeds,
Just see power of soul. A living man is capable of walking thousands of miles but once soul depart from body same human need minimum four persons to reach for last rituals. Soul is born out living Dravya known as Pradesh. All Pradesh have unique four features. They can cannot be cut, burn. cut or catch. All living souls have this features. To put it in easy terms it is virtues of a soul being Dyan and Darshan.
As fire has two virtues namely light and heat, soul has above virtues. Skundh is whole and compete Draya, part is desh and smallest one is Pradesh. All 3 are inseparable but Nirjara can change Karmas layers.
Soul is permanent in nature but it's virtues can change as per actions and Nirjara. More it removes bad Karmas more it will be clean, pure.
Rupi-Pudgal have Parmanu or particles. Soul has Pradesh, Skhandh. It has no parmanu as even a minute portion of cannot be cut off. soul is a single "Dravyaroop" having "Asankhyat Pradesh".
Hence Jainism advocates equal treatment for all of living creatures.
Tiny Pradesh of soul are moving through body constantly and give functionary powers to organs.8 Pradeshs known as Ruchak Pradesh, are non-moving and being centrally located at central of body being naval. They are also covered by Karmas along with all particles. In chapter 8/10 of Bhagwatiji, Mahaveerswami informed that the soul is having numerous "Pradesh". All of them are exactly equal to Pradesh of "Lokaaakash" as evident at the time of "Kewalisamudghat".All of such Pradesh are being covered by layers of Karmas built by soul.
As per Jainism soul is the only single architect of each one's Karmas. Looking into it through Samaik and Dyan can give a man, vision for salvation. If one is able to conquer it's soul's negative points, he can conquer the universe. Looking within soul makes one to cut off  and overcome bad qualities. The effort put him in right vision and correct knowledge, faith and conduct can lead to ultimate goal of salvation.
Soul arranges it's departure from a particular body after completing the specified term, known as death. After death, all elements of soul reaches to the specified location as decided at the time of the said
"Aayushyabandha".For souls getting salvation only destination is Siddha-Sheela on top of Universe. Particles of soul reaches to the specified destination in all and in totality while taking a new birth.

At Siddha-Sheela all noble souls reside permanently. They get rid of taking new birth  for ever. They remain there for ever in a body less form. They clear life and death cycles for ever permanently. Soul has eight components as explained in Blog. Jainism teach us to care for
all actions of soul as it determines cycles of life. A clean soul which is free from all negative and positive shall be our sole and only aim
in life. By keeping it clean salvation can be easy. Every tiny action of either good or bad  of ours attach or detach Karma to us Be careful to keep this source of salvation and all next lives clean as possible. Just take care to make it free from jealousy or hate or enmity, A soul can carry forward it for so many next lives. Check it for cat ,dog and rats.
Hence Jainism preaches the ritual of Khamat- Kamna and friendship. Hopefully this blog will be able my readers to know their soul better.

JAINISM-- 8 COMPONENTS OF SOUL-----------!!!.

In common parlance- soul is treated as one having presence all over  within body. We believe it's existence by imagination without seeing it with eyes. Clinical trials over the years have established location of all other organs which keep the human life going on.They are such as brain, heart, kidney and others. Surprisingly the common force which allow to keep human life alive could not be found so far. Chances of it's discovery are remote or NIL even in future. Only Thirthankars of
Jain religion Siddha and Kewaldyanibhagwan can see it as a truth.
We have been informed by Mahaveerswami through Bhagwatisutra
that soul is "Asakhaat Pradesi".Each "Aatmapradesh" is covered with countless layer of Karmas. All Aatmapradesh except "Ruchakpradesh
keep moving in body. One will be surprised to know that for any soul "Aatmaprdesh are exactly equal to all " Asankhayat Aakashpradesh|". Soul is a living dravya a combination of knowedge, Upyog and faith.

Bhagwan Mahaveerswami in twleveth  Shatak of the Bhagwatisutra explained nature of soul. In 25 Bol it is the 15 Bol. It is cause of life It's absence is the only reason for non-activeness of any dead body. Jainism gives eight types of souls. Jainism and Mahaveer Bhagwan introduced concept of soul, its nature, causes of it's taking various lives and ways to free it forever. Let us have preliminary study of them. Components of soul can be discussed in brief as following---.

1-Darya Aatma- main pure form present in all living creatures-Ever lasting for all period-past ,present & future. All living souls have
been gifted with this feature. It is also known as "Chetna " in Hindi.
It is virtues of use as light and heat are virtues of fire similarly Dyan Darshan and Upayog are virtues of soul. Soul is " Askhyat Pradeshi" combination of Chetana. Those Pradesh cannot be separated while "Parmanu" can be separated from Rupi-Pudgals (particle).
2 -Kashaya Aatma--Kashay means anger, self-esteem, cheating  and greed features of soul. It is present in all Sakashayi souls.
3-Yog Aatma- It is source of action by mind. speech and body. It is present in Sayogi soul. All human actions are done  through it.
4-Upyog Aatma-It is the way in which one put mind, speech and body in use while doing any action. It is present in all living . It is
ways different people do any action. It shapes our Karma. One may
use mind and organs in positive ways while others may not do so.
5-Knowledge-( Dyan) Aatma- It is present in all. But it may be correct or wrong knowledge Even the degree or extent can differ one to another. Knowledge can be of five types.
6-Faith  ( Darshan )Aatma-It is present in all. It is one's faith or perception. Again it may be correct or wrong one. Correct faith ensures early salvation. It also covers vision to see things in correct
or wrong ways. If one follow Jinwani ,he has correct  Samkit faith.
7-Conduct ( Charitra) Aatma-It is one's conduct-Religious act and following together with general behavior and attitude for others.
8-Human capacity -(Virya Aatma)--One's ability to do things in his life time. It motivates actions of human and all living souls. It also refers to willpower and human determination to think nothing is impossible. We can march on salvation path with it's max.use.

Thus out of 8 types of soul only Kashay is negative one. How any one put his knowledge, faith. conduct in best possible manner is a deciding salvation. Siddaha has only 3 soul Dravya, knowledge, faith and Upayog Aatma. Draya,Upyog and faith Atma are present in all of living souls from Ekendriya to Panchedriya as a rule. They can be of correct or wrong or mixed. Thus soul study can be  milestone for our self discovery. We can use  maximum potential of soul to reduce life cycle and early salvation. There are so many layers of Karma on soul

Without bringing back soul to it's original Swavbhav no Moksha is possible. Get changed-  Vibhav to Swabhav and Use Nirjara to clear all layers on soul to have permanent place at noble "Siddahsheela".

JAI JINEDRA------------!!!-------JAI MAHAVEER---------------!!!.

JAINISM-MEANING OF NAVKARMANTRA----------!!!

Navkar Mantra is a un-parallel gift of Jainism to the world. Normally human bows to power, wealth, personality of a particular individual,
This Mantra bows to virtues of a soul. It is not directed to any one or  more Gods or persons. Any soul having the virtues are being prayed and worshiped. It covers all souls in past, present and future in total universe. Thus in shortest form it cover largest sections of divine and auspicious souls for bowing down and offering respect by devotees.
This divine Mantra make us humble as we bow down to virtues. It give indication of our worship values and interest in those values. It helps entire transition of any soul from arrogance to humbleness. A soul for whom virtues are everything can only bows down to them.

Total such virtues of  noble soul are 108. The classification of virtues Arihant -12,Siddha-8-- Aacharya-36, Upadhaya--25 and Sadhus--27. The mantra is in Ardhamaghdi language. To know detail exact each virtues, one has to refer 'Pratikamn" book Vandana to 5 Padha .When
we speak Navkar, we are bowing to 108 virtues of all noble souls.

1-Arihant---Ari- means enemy and Hant means conquer. Any one who has conquered inner enemies are called Arihant, To conquer the outer enemies is comparatively easy task but conquering bad points of soul is too difficult. Arihanats are Kevali Bhagwan or Trithankars are Arihants, They are true present God in the real and true sense.
They have conquered all Kashay and sins and follow 12 Mahavrat.     Kewali Bhagwan can speak and preach masses. They are in a most pure state of soul where there is total absence of any flaw. Hate, love insult, praise nothing can disturb them as they have won sentiments.
2-Siddha--Kevali who have attained salvation. They are body less soul. They are at top of Universe. They can not speak. Neither will take birth again. Pure soul with full knowledge and faith. They have three out of  eight Aatama known as-------Dyan,Darshan and Upyog. Arihant or Kewali is a pre step to become Siddha once life term over.

3-Aacharya- They are available in present times. They are Sadhu head of their disciple. They control Sadhus and impart Jainism study to them. There can be more Aacharya for each Jain branch. Aachrya means their behavior "Aacharan" is as per their correct knowledge.
4-Upadhaya-They are also present on this earth-they have studied  and knowing meaning of thirty two Aagams.
5-Sadhus--They are also present on this earth-.They are Jain monk. They have taken Diksha and walking on path of salvation leaving domestic affairs. Fully engaged in following of Jainism and 12 Vrata.
Bowing to all of them is pure and is basic tool of eliminating all sin.
One Swadhiji informed me that with 9,000,00 lacs chatting of the Navkarmantra will prohibit Bandh of Narki if "Aayushyabanda" is pending for a particular soul in present life. Take care to chat this
Mantra in original form without adding "Om" "Rhim" etc. Original
Navkar covers 9 Pada. Five deities and four ways to get salvation.

Let us  learn it by heart. It is the same Mahamantra, using which countless souls obtained salvation in past, obtaining in present era from Mahavedeha Khetra and will obtain in future. One must take
care to chat with full faith and devotion totally isolated from home.

JAINISM--A MUST STUDY---- 9 TATVAS-------------!!!

Friends--Nine Tatvas ( principles ) is master piece of Jainism. It's  detailed study can give surprised results for any research. Any one  who aim to study Jainism, start the study with knowing 9 Tatvas .It finds combined study at a place. This blog  shall be taken as initial
study. Detailed interesting study can be done from Aagams.
1-Jiva Tatva-It explains all living things having knowledge, faith and life. Interestingly earth, water, fire. air and plants together with animals are classified as living objects.-It has forteen sub categories.
2-Ajiva Tatva-- Non living things-Two main types-visible and non visible-14 sub categories .Non living is just opposite of living. At own they cannot do any action. Soul is missing element here.
3-Punya Tatva--Nine categories-Good deeds done through charity of food, water, space, bed, clothes, best wishes and deeds by mind, speech, body and bowing down to virtues forms this category.
4-Paap Tatva-Eighteen categories of bad deeds which create sins.

5-Aasrava Tatva-20 in coming ways through which sins attach to soul. Study of it can tell it's prevention tools can enable us to avoid.
6-Sanwar Tatva--20 ways to prohibit sins to become part of soul.
7-Bandha Tatva-4 category of fixation of good or bad Karmas to soul-nature, time, power and quantum. (Prakriti,Sthithi,Anubhag and Pradesh). Each action of living soul causes such attachment.
8-Nirjara Tatva- 12 ways to nullify  bad karma other than special karma known as 'Nikachit Karma. Nikachit Karma are to be faced in  same or with more severity as built. Nothing can change them.
9-Moksha-4 ways to attain salvation--correct knowledge, correct faith, correct conduct and correct Tap or Sadhana. Salvation needs cutting of all layers either good or bad from soul. It causes total eradication of root cause of  taking births and going for deaths.
To get Samkit i.e. right faith and right knowledge basic thing is to know these nine Tatvas. Only then one can walk on salvation path.
Avoiding sins ,adding Punya and cutting bad Karmas leads to Moksha. The logic and rational behind all teachings of Jainism can  be known only after knowing these basic details.

JAIN LITERATURE--32 AAGAMS---------!!!

Any one who wish to study Jainism can use Aagam. All Jinwani are being covered by these holy book. Presently 32  Aagam are available classified in following five categories .Let us have a brief summary of names. Reading all thirty two Aagams over a period during the
permitted period can ensure " Swadhya " of 65000 Gathas. Such a
reading can be a very good tool to cut knowledge covering Karmas.
Unfortunately at present we do not have full text for Aagams, Some
part of them were destroyed in calamities like feminine. The most
large Aagam which was called "Drishtivaad " contained knowledge
of "14 Purva." The book get vanishes after last Sidddha of this time
Pujya Jambuswami. One can get details of all contents of all Thirty

two Aagam in "Nandi Sutra". It also covers details of 5 knowledge.
Coverage of subject help to prevent unauthorized insertion attempts.
The word Aagam is a combination of Aa and Gam. Aa stand for own
Aatma means soul and Gam means knowing, thus Aagaam are being meant to know self or soul and ways of living better life and Moksh. A very important thing for Aagam's nature. They are permanent and always available in Mahavidehakhetra. Even names remains same. Current Aagams were put in book form after 980 years of Bhagwans Nirvan by Aacharya Dev-wachak-Deovadhigani Skhama-Shraman--- when earlier methods of remembering them found difficult due to weaker memories. The current Aagams have recent "Wachna" of Aacharya Skhadilacharya and Aacharya Nagarjuna. Let us study it
A-11-Anga Sutra-These are main books. It is as good as body for a human being. They covers mainly "Jinwani" by Bhagwan Mahaveer.
Aacharang,Sutrakrutang,Sthanag.Samyayang,Bhagwati,Dyantadharma-Katha,Upasakdashang,Antagad-Sutra,Anutropapatik- Dasha,
(Ninety-90 noble souls attaining Mokha --------Antagarha Sutra).
Prashnavyakaran and Vipaksutra. These are also termed as basics for Jainism. All basics are treasure of immense Knowledge for devotees.

Bhagawati Sutra covers 36000 questions asked by Gautamswami and
answered by Mahaveer Swami. These books covers preaching of Mahaveer Swami composed by his main disciple known as Gandhar. Present Aagams are composed by Pujya Shri Sudharma Swamiji.

Antagadsutra covers details of 90 noble souls who attained Moksha
in era of Mahaveerswami and Arishtnemibahgwan. It is read in eight
days of each "Paryusan" to motivate devotees for salvation. It's eight chapter gives details of various Tap like Ratnawali, Muktawali to the last one Vardhman Aaymbil Tap done by ten queens and wives of the King Shrenik. All 10  Puj Kaali to Mahasen Krishna got liberated.
All "Angasutra" are permanent in all 3 period. Even their names are same in all period. In Mahavedeh they are permanent. In other areas they are available as per nature of current Aara in the particular area.
Sthanaagsutra is an encyclopedia covering all details in 10 chapters. Similarly Samayang Sutra gives number wise details from 1 to 100.
B-12-Upang- Upaang means various parts of body as hand .legs etc.
These give additional information for subject composed by Sthawir (senior) Aacharyas (senior monks being leader). They are termed as
Oppatik,Uvavaeeya.Rajprashniya,Jivabhigam,Pradyanapana,Jambudivap Pranati, Chandrapranapati, Suryapranapti, Niryavalika, Kalpavan
-taksutika, Pushpika, Pushpachulika and Vrushnidasha. JP,CP,SP
covers universe and astronomy in details for all three Skhetra,
C-4-Mula Sutra-Means basic just as roots of a tree. They are listed
to be as Utradhyan. Dashvekalik.Nandisutra and Anuyogdwarsutra.
All these four are called basic as first two aim to impart training of character and later two impart knowledge. Combined with correct faith the reader can easily walk on the path of Bhagwan's Moksha.
UtradhyanSutra covers 36 chapters told by Mahaveer Bhagwan immediately before he obtained salvation around age of 72 years.
Previous to that Bhagwan covered"Vipaksutra".Vipak covers story
of actions and results of happiness and sorrows in any soul's life.
D-4-Ched Sutra-- Ched means to cut off  for new starting. It covers rules for monks. It also covers various modes of regret in case of breach of rules knowingly or otherwise by monks. They are termed
as Dashashrutskand, Bruhatkalpa, Vyavharsutra and Nishit Sutra.

E-1-Aawashyaksutra--It contains Pratikaman-means reviewing all deeds daily two times and regretting for misdeeds if any. Since it's nature is a compulsory and must it is called "Aawashyaksutra"
Aawashyka means compulsory. Bhagwan said to have it daily twice

Faith in Aagams gives one correct vision called as Samyagdrishti. Studying, reading and sharing it's knowledge is a great cause of Nirjara-means cutting of Karmas. One shall aim to do" Swadhya" to one's maximum ability. There is no prohibition on Shrawak or lady Shrawika to study Aagams as believed by some sections. Care to be
taken to read them avoiding Aswadhya period as per image. For the female category the monthly "Period" time needs to be avoided.
There are two major Granths for Digmber and Mandir branches of Jainism. Mandir Margi devotees cover "Kalpasutra " in Paryushan based on life of Bhagwan Mahaveer . For Digamber branch devotee
"Samaysar" by Aacharyaji "Kundkund" based on Nichit-Naya is too auspicious. Digamber branch has approved only Aagam known as - "Shatkhandagam" One more too intellectual Jain monk known as- Shri Umaswarti has  covered summary of Jain religion in a book in
only 10 chapters. This widely read book is famous in Jain world as
"Tattvarthsutra. Eligibility for reading Aagams varies in all branches.
Katraj Jain Mandir at Pune has beautiful wall carving of  all Aagam. Here is list of all Jain Aagam for both swetamber branches of Jains.1 to 23 and 34 to 39+44+45 and Aawashyaksutra are Aagams related to Sthnakwasi branch while total 45 are for Mandirmargi branch as downloaded from social media tools.Hopefully it will give full idea.

Those above 32 Aagams are based on "Stanakwasi" tradition. The
other branches have different numbers of Aagam with few totally
different literature."Mandirmargi branch has 45 recognized Aagam.
Some Aagams are common in both branches. Aagams are based on    "Jinwani". Thirthankar Bhagwan gives "Tripadi"  to Gandhars. They are "Bij-Bodi" It means from seed they can grasp the complete tree.
From Tripadi Ganghar Bhagwan compose "14 Purva" Tripadi means Utpad-Vyaya-Druva. It says a new option created out of old option but the original option i.e. living Draya remains permeant forever.  Then "Angasutra "are being composed. Once Gandhars complete the "Dristiwad" the Thirth is said to be formed. After 980 years from the salvation of  Puj Mahaveer  Bhagwan " Aagam" were made available in written form. In 1451AD a devoted Shravak from Ahmadabad  named "Shri Lokashah" gave it's the Aagams current present form.
He was a native from Sirohi district a village |Arhat -Wada. He was hired by some Yati to copy original Aagam. He  prepared two copies of them. It is a great treasure left for us by numerous Aacharyaji with
their dedicated work of centuries with basis of Jinwani. To complete
study of Jainism ,one need additional books recognized as "Grantha,
Tika,Churni".They covers stories and more explanation to Aagam. It is our duty to preserve them and make masses aware of it's contents.
