JAINISM---LIFE AFTER DEATH------------------------!!!

Friends, participating in question/answer session acts as a tonic for my spiritual development. One such recent experience ,I try to share
with you through this blog. Here is summary of Gurudeo's answer to
one devotee's question for life after death in eyes of Jainism.

"Brothers as a human we are always fascinated by this sort of query
Unfortunately even with advanced science till date with our current limited knowledge ,we neither know both where from we came and where will go. But with help with "Jinwani "made available to us by
kind gesture of Mahaveer Bhagwan,we can guess it.
Friends Jainism firmly believes in life after death. In fact it can be
lives unless one gets salvation. Jainism rejects the theory which say current is the only one life and there will be no life after this. To
support Jainism theory, I will discuss it with you. My references are
based on two chapters of "Bhagwatisutra".They are chapters with number 05/03 and 12/07. Let us discuss them in brief.
 In 05/03 Shatak Bhagwan has informed three basics as a fixed rule.
1.-All lives of a soul are interconnected as a chain. A new circle to said chain is being added by current actions of soul mind & organs.
It is a ongoing process till actions of a particular life cut off all
possibilities of adding new Karmas and by nullifying all Karmas.
Actions of last life add it's carry forward of positive and negatives
Karmas balance to it's Karman Sharir ( body) of current life.

2.-New life and it's place is being determined by overall actions of
current life. The time is unknown to the individual. Said fixed life
term, out of four Gati (class), begins immediately when the soul
leaves current body by the process termed as death. The life fixation
moment is being termed as "Aayushyaband Aakarsh".
3-Soul gets same Leshya (sentiments, feeling or emotions) in which
it leaves body at the time of death. A calm. peaceful and quite facial expressions of deceased gives the indications of  high class birth. It
probably may be in Jyotishi or Vemanikdeo Gati.
4-12/07-It says a soul has done countless cycles before current life.
It gives five reasons for it. Permanent universe, universe without a
beginning (Anandi),permanent nature of each and every soul, many
and numerous ways of fixing of Karmas. Such numerous fixing of Karmas, makes life cycles unlimited. Since as a rule no Moksha
or salvation is possible without their full clearance by a soul.

5.-In 01/08 chapter Bhagwan has classified all souls in three class.
They are Bal, Balpandit and Pandit. Bal means who do not follow
Jainism. They can go to any one of 4 Gati. Balpandit mean Shrawak
.They can go only to Vemanikdeogati. Pandit means a Sadhu who
follow Bhagwan's Jainism in Toto. They can get either salvation or
can take birth in Vemanikdeo ,It is regarded as best position.
 Friends so do not get trapped in wrong faith. Your any tiny action is
responsible to shape your destiny and future lives Just think, if one life is sufficient to give rewards and punishments for good deeds and bad deeds ? . No it cannot be. So take shelter of Jinwani and try to live current life. Otherwise there will be a long much difficult
transformation from one to other Gati. No one like to have births of goat, fish or hen where brutal death is certain. We are fortunate to have known the reasons which add to further cycles of life and death. So avoid it and plan for early salvation " Gurudeo concluded.

JAINISM------FEATURES OF ARIHANT BHAGWAN---------------------!!!

Friends, previously we have studied features of "Siddha" Bhagwan.
Today with this blog -let us study features of Arihant Bhagwan. We
all Jain owe a huge debts for them since they introduce us to all five
deity ( Panch Parmeshti ) to us. Hence as a respect they are at top of
Navkar Mantra. We all know meaning of "Ari-Hant ". Ari means a foe and Hant means who conquered the enemies. Out of the all eight
Karma, four Karma are most difficult for clearing. Rest four Karmas are body, life term and personality related. They get cleared at time 
getting salvation .Due to periodical flaw at present ,there is no more presence of Arihant Bhagwan in our "Bharatkhetra. But they are in
"Mahavedehakhetra" at present. Presently their number is 20 but it
can be maximum 160 or 170.This 160  maximum numbers may be possible in Mahavedeha+05+05 in Bharat+ Eirawat Khetra. In  five area of Mahavideha minimum 4 are always present it is being 20 for minimum in total. Maximum can be in all 32 parts of  5 Mahavideha
it is 160 added by 5 each in Bharat and Eirawant makes maximum being 170.At present minimum 20--5x4 are in Maha-Vidheha only.

For all Jains Arihant Bhagwan is highest status God in physical form
No one can match them hence are called respectfully "Devadhi-Deo.
In all there are eight parts of four divisions of  theMahavidehakhetra
amounting to 32 parts called as "Vijay". In those Vijay currently 20 
Arihant Bhagwan termed as "Viharman- Bhagwan " reside. First
among them is Simandar Swami and last one is "Ajitviryaswamiji.
All those 20 Thirthankar Bhagwan took birth in period of Bhagwan
Kunthunathji. They all will get salvation at a same time when there

will be 7th Thirthankar "Shriudaynathji" will get salvation from the
Bharatkhetra. The features can be studied from "Pratikaman Panch Padoki Vandana Path". Let us study them in brief with high regard.
Arihant Bhagwan have twelve virtues. Anant Dyan, Anant Darshan,
Anant Charitya, Anant Balaveerya ,Divyadwani, Bhamandal (aura),
Saptik Sihasan (throne),Ashok tree, Kusum-Vrishti (shower flowers) ,Deodudunbhi ( Deo blowing of trumpet),Chatra Dharave, Chawar Bijave (Holding umbrella and metal brush).Arihantbhagwan are free
from 18 flaws. They carry 1008 best symbols over body. They have
34 special features termed as "Ati-Shay". Their speech and language
carry 35 qualities. All leaders of heavenly gods known as Indras are
in service of Bhagwan, Indra are 64 in numbers. Aihant Deo form
Thirth after achieving "Kewaldyan and Kewaldarshan". Having their  Tripadi, their Gandhars compose Jain literature known as Aagams.
At present they are in human form will be in a pure soul form after salvation. For us they are most flawless humans worth to surrender by heart. We should keep them as role model to win over Kashay and all negatives. As a rule all Arihant and Kewali Bhgwan get Moksha.

    KEWAL KAMLAKANT SUSANT SEWANT HAI.
    BALDEV SUR NAR DEV SUSEVANT HAI,
    DWADASHANG BHAGWANT SADA JAYAVANT HAI.|"

We as resident of south Bharatkhetra are under preview of Shri Pujya
Simandarswamiji. Let us pray to them to grant us all wisdom to gain
salvation as early as possible. Let us hope ,we will be  too fortunate
enough to be at their foot steps in future. Namo Arihantanam------!!!.

JAINISM--MIND STABILITY AND KARMA THEORY -------PART--2------!!!

"Friends in morning session we have seen how to face adversities without disturbing mind-Gurudeo started the second part. Friends,
I agree with most of you that it is not that easy as it sounds. As a
ordinary human ,we posses a weak mind. It gets irritated easily. At
this points we needs to train it. A spiritual base creation required to be done. For it Jainism study and knowing how great souls reacted
to such adversities can help. So I am sharing with you a small story
from Mahaveer Bhagwan's life in brief though so you may know it.
We all Jain know that after giving up wrong faith Bhagwan has done
26 cycles of life and death. On his 27th life he got salvation. He has
got true faith in his first life as Naysaar. He took last 27th life coming from 10th Deologa called as "Pranat".
The story relates to his 18th life as king "Tripushtha Vasudeo." He 
was king of 3 continentals. King was suffering from insomnia .To
get sleep his officials arranged for music band. The king asked his
bodyguard to instruct the musician to stop the music ,once he got
sleep. At night the music band started playing soft music.As a
 

result the king fell asleep. After few hours he got awakened. When
he saw that music is going on and the guard was enjoying music,the King got furious at the disobedience. Violation of a command of a powerful king must have severe consequences As a punishment the
 king ordered to fill the ears of guard with hot liquid of lead. Order 
was executed as the guard failed to stop music as per order.  Now the related Karma particles attached to soul of the King .The partticular attached Karma were waiting to get their loan repaid on due time.
In last life as Vardhaman ,Bhagwan was performing meditation
in forest under a tree. A cowman came near Bhagwan and asked
Bhagwan to look after the cows for a while as he has some work.
After sometime he came back and got furious for his missing cows
He asked Bhagwan the whereabouts of cows. When he got no reply from Bhagwan, he thought Bhagwan was pretending to be dumb. So
he bought iron kill and fixed it it one ear of Bhagwan.
The kill  passed to second ear. The  extreme pain of Bhagwan was  knowing no bound. There were flow of blood from both ears with 
 unbearable  pain but Bhagwan has not given up his "Dhyan". With 
 tolerating most unbearable pain Bhagwan completed the Dhyan. 
Now the question arises in our mind-Why Bhagwan allowed it to happen--- -? Bhagwan could have broke the Dhyan,argued with the
cowman and if required could have used physical power to avoid
the attack. Bhagwan preferred to keep silence and face the music in
given situation. What is the logic behind that. Bhagwan has three
knowledge from birth. He acquired forth knowledge "Avadhidyan"
entering 7th stage. All 4 knowledge get consolidated in one that is
Kewaldyan when he gets it. With "Awadhidyan "Bhagwan could see
all last 26 lives to fullest. When he knew that ,the cowman is the
soul of same guard he punished as a king ,he preferred to repay the
 Karmas what he himself has built. He has done so because he knew that unless he clears all the sins, he can not get salvation. He
well understood "KADAN KAMMAN NA ,MOKHA ATHI  ".

 Friends it is very motivating and inspiring story from life of this
 noble great soul. We are his worthy heirs. Let us learn a fraction of
his braveness. So be tolerant. Just note no else has power to disturb
you except your Karmas. Now if you faces it with smile or with the
tears in eyes and sound of cry is your personal choice absolutely.
In spite of our good qualities, virtues, honesty and simplicity, some
time situation may be difficult or testing. We may fail to co- relate 
logic behind it. But do not allow your mind to get destabilize. In
such case  keep hope, nothing is permanent, this bad phase will also get passed. Every night followed by dawn and every autumn is being followed by spring. In such circumstances if you allow faith
in Jinwani to be shaken, then it will be your permanent loss. So be
patient and strong .Let the storm pass, The mind can be stabilized 
 by knowing the Karma theory". Gurudeo concluded.

JAINISM---MIND STABILITY AND KARMA THEORY-------PART--1------!!!.

Friends, I could not resist myself from sharing of Gurudeo's lecture of yesterday. So here is the brief coverage of it for my blog readers.
 "Anybody in this gathering who is in tension for some reason shall raise  his/her finger Gurudeo initiated the lecture. Majority in  hall
raised the fingers. With a smile Gurudeo again asked his second one
question--Do you facing it voluntary or it is compulsory warranted
by circumstances. Without waiting for reply Gurudeo said friends
I knew it. Nobody wanted to be unhappy but still it is being offered
by destiny. Today I will discuss with you all a example of Karma theory. Just note the background and related roles for the unfolding.

1-A criminal commits a crime and judiciary awards him the related
punishment after undergoing needed trial .He is being sent to jail.
2-Now he is under supervision of Jailer. Jailer controls his daily
life by taking tough tasks and other actions as per rules prescribed.
3-The criminal ask the jailer-- why he is harassing him while he
has done no harm to him Somebody else was murdered by him.

Let us check  this metaphor. Criminal represents us. Justice is a
set of rules for universe as explained by Mahaveer Bhagwan and
jailer is "X" person harassed by us previously. Now the power of
Karma is behind the whole operation remaining invisible. This
justice is different than human justice. It can never be influenced. 
The victim who was murdered has yet to play his own part. We know
in jail, the punishment differs for each prisoner depending upon
levels of crime. Similarly there is good reward based on behavior
of each one. Even some time the term got reduced as reward.
 If one get understand this background, then his reactions for any
jailer can be changed. Now he can understand that the jailer is the
executor only. No need to blame him. His actions are originated
from the action of real culprit. The real culprit is our actions and
ourselves only. If we decide to repay the old debt in a calm manner,
we may not loose current mental peace. More important point is that
we may not be building new Karma. So just give up the bad feeling
for jailer. He is not doing it to outsiders of prison. We are the target.

The disturbances of own mind is more due to our reactions to the
circumstances rather than the root cause. If one believes and know
the Karma theory, he gets the inner power to face the results. Just
imagine, how sincerely we follow the prescriptions of doctors for
our body related to food, diet and medicines. If we believe and follow Mahaveer Bhagwan's advice in similar fashion for our
soul, we can reduce our tensions much more. Just note one thing,
every action will return back to you sooner or later. So take much
care for your action as you can.It will definitely ready to hit back.
Always regard Karma as recovery agents appointed by our actions.
They have not spared great soul like Mahaveer. We have a fraction
of Bhagwan's giant personality. So be calm while going through it. 
I will cover Bhagwan Mahveer's reactions to his sufferings in the next  second half ."Gurudeo concluded.
