JAINISM--SOME OBLIGATIONS ARE FOR EVER ---- MAHAVEERSWAMI-----!!!

City Jain Forum has organized five days celebration for Veer Nirvan
( salvation of Lord Mahaveer). It will fall due on 11/11/2015 when the great soul got salvation around midnight. It was day of Kartik Amayasya approximately 2542 years ago. Gurudeo offered his due respect to this great guide and philosopher. His good lecture is being summarized herewith to make us aware of Lord's role in our life.
For a new born baby every mother is his first teacher. Slowly with undeveloped mind, brain and organs, the baby enters the world. With a more than 9 months stay in her womb the baby establishes a unique bonding with his mother. He understands the silence language of his mother's touch and eyes. He follows his mothers' instructions all time without knowing a single words. This is a known fact for all of us.
Without upbringing by mother, kid could not distinguish difference between good and bad things of life .She is the first person to tell him not to quarrel, not to steal, what to eat and so on. So every child carries life long obligations towards his mother till her last breath.
Just like mother Mahaveer Bhagwan is our guardian for the spiritual
development. Without his teachings, we would have lost in deep jungles of sins. He explained Karma theory and causes of life and death cycles ,sorrows of life. He taught us results of good deeds and bad deeds. His 9 Tatvas explains the path and journey to salvation.

He taught us two ways of living life. One by becoming Jain monk leaving all pleasures and connections of domestic life. Second being becoming Shrawak, taking oath of five basic principles of Non-violence, Truth, Non-theft, Loyalty in relationship and Non-possession. Choice is optional. First way is comparatively difficult.

Both categories follow these principle with different severity. His doctrine of live and let live and "Ahinsa Parmo Dharma" has saved many lives and ensured living in harmony with all four categories.
Dipawali is being celebrated to mark salvation of Mahaveerswami Bhagwan. In this festival the lamps represents the tools to fight darkness inside us .All Jain brothers and sisters celebrate Diwali by
recitation of Puchisunam, fast, Samaik, Pratikaman and Swadhaya of Aagam Poshadh fast and other religious activities to the fullest.
Bhagwan got salvation in Pawapuri in Bihar state of India while giving lecture of 36th chapter of Uttaradhyansutra. The soul may not be here with physical body but the teachings, he left will guide all of us for ever. We could not repay his obligations even with series of new lives. Whatever little we can do, we must not miss it possibly.
Let us remember his noble soul and try to practice his unique principles of co-living with mutual care and love for all living souls. This one day can recharge our battery for the whole year provided we understand his efforts and teachings to uplift each and every soul. Let us pray to him to show us light till our salvation.

JAI MAHAVEER----------!!!----------- JAIJINENDRA-------!!!.
