JAINISM-USING RELIGION AS A WISHING WELL---------!!!

In my childhood I heard story of a wishing-well. A person make an- wish in mind, go to the well throw the coin and his wish get stands
fulfilled. Due to shortage of coins in childhood ,I could not visit the place. On later stage, I could not find a wish worth it, so going to the well river or the place remained as a story for ever in my inner mind.
Later on with my study of people ,I could find that instead of going to well so many used to sit at homes or temples and making wishes.
Such wishes are conditional like donating some thing to God if any particular wish is granted. It a just like a barter" give and take action.
Some people use gold in kilograms, currency notes in truck load and keep their promises. It is a really funny to offer the Almighty what is supposed to be given by Him. Jainism believes one's good deeds or Punya back it. What happens to their wishes is not known to me. But known fact is that these donations make the Trusts so powerful with utilized or non utilized huge balances of wealth in India. Even as of
now, I do not have figure ,there are reasons to believe this theory. we heard about heavy investments in Gold bonds and others by them.
I am not expert for other religion but sure to add for my Jainism that Jain super Gods Arihant and Siddha Bhagwan do not get engaged themselves with such difficult task. Arihant Bhagwan possesses an infinite power but are not favoring followers with domestic wishes. Instead of it, they are guiding followers to cut the basic root cause of suffering i.e. cycles of life and death leading to salvation through Jinwani  and Suguru. Asking for material things seems to be insult of such a great divine and powerful light. Here I agree that the human
sufferings are infinite. But if one knows the Karma theory, then the
real architecture of such suffering is the human himself this is I feel. 
 I was discussing this with my friends who asked me two questions-
 1- What the Mangal (auspicious) Padaa meant when it says that---
                                  ."अंगूठे अमृत वसे , लब्धि तणा भण्डार---- ।.
                    .श्री गुरु गौतम समरिये , वांछित फल दातार".

"Angushte Amrit Base Labdhi tana Bhandar, Shri Guru    Gautam Samariye, Manwanchit Fala Datar ". In Hindi it means
( Take name of powerful Guru Gutatam swami and get the things as per your wishes).It is sung at the end of Jain auspicious Manglik.
2-Loggas"Aarogya Bohi labham Samahiram Muttamam Dintu. 
 ( Please grant me good health, correct knowledge and peace ) .

Those both questions were correct apparently but needs some deep thinking. Let us study first part of this saying. It's hidden meaning- when one is bestowed with correct knowledge, he can not have any other wish than salvation. Surely it does not meant asking various domestic pleasures. Such Bhavi souls wants only and only Moksha.
For second question good health is asked for to utilize available time fully to cut bad Karmas and not for so called enjoyment of life.

No doubt human life is full of sufferings and it is not uncommon to seek help from Almighty in movements of distress, But since it is created by our own deeds, we have to repay it. Almighty can grant only strength to bear with it. Once the debt is cleared ,again we can gain the peace of mind, So religion must be followed only for the
purification of soul instead of asking for material things of life. If

one agree with it ,he definitely will give up searching for such well. Our search will be for last destination Mokha ending all sufferings.

JAINSIM--TIME SPARED FOR OWN SOUL---------!!!

Majority of us wish for salvation. We all are also aware that it can be gained in human life only where one can nullify all karmas. It is not possible in any other birth place like heaven, hell ,animals or plants.  If we study our life chart, the results for efforts done for salvation is very disappointing. Generally the recourse to religion activities is not undertaken for following  reason in general though we wish for it.
1-Lack of proper knowledge to differentiate between body and soul and ways for salvation. The basics are not taken seriously as needed. 
2- Busy schedule for  education, earning and looking after family .
3- Problems of health or disability of body in later age of current life.
4- Religion is supposed to be an old age activity after retirement by majority of us though gaining old age is not guaranteed for all of us.
The reasons or excuses can be added with few more serial numbers. If we take 70 age as normal one, hardly the time devoted for soul can be 5 % at maximum. Even this 5 % contains major part to visit holy places to combine tour and family get together and visits for Guru-Darshan. Karma cutting time is comparatively too little and small.
The sins accumulation task is a 24x7 ongoing process. If we study life of Shri Mahaveer Bhagwan out of 72 years life- first 30 years he was in domestic life of a prince. At the age of thirty, he took Diksha  became Saddhu/monk living all luxury of life. From 30 to 72 means for continuous period of 42 years he was cutting karmas constantly with maximum human capacity. Lastly he succeeded in his mission.
Few may be knowing that he conquered sleep, in entire period of 42 years, he slept only for 96 minutes ( 2 Ghadi). The reason being he won faith covering bad karmas known as Darshanavarniya Karma.  It causes taking sleep habit. One can refer Bhagwati for his ten dreams.
The good  part is that the great souls even in present time who took diksha  and became monk and are in 24x7 in Samaik. They might not be utilizing few part of total hours available but still their average utilization for soul is much much better than us. It help more Nirjara.
The blog is just to take stock of what is required for salvation and what we are doing for it. I feel with sport, exercise, walking ,jogging and gym. we are giving more comparative time to body than soul. If one agree to this study, let us reschedule our activities give more and  more time to Nirjara, fast and reading Aagams doing the Swadhwya.
Since the task involved is too big but not impossible and human power and determination has no boundary. Let us decide minimum Navkar mantra, some Pachhakhans. one Samaik. one hour reading of Aagams  as our daily spare time for religion.  With it we can be able to know the path at least in next lives as knowledge last to next life. I sincerely hope all of us including me release it at early as possible
and concentrate upliftment of soul rather than comfort of body. The obvious reason body is only for this life whereas our soil is forever.

JAINISM MEDITATION WITH 12 BHAVNA---( FEELINGS)--------!!!

If one has familiar with Dhyan (concentration/meditation) and able to carry it further, he can adopt thinking on following lines-with a Mangal Pada--- To start the process of Dhyana---------------------.!
"Arihanta Mah Deo ,Javajive Susaduno Guruno-------------!!!.
Jina Pannatam Tatva,Ehe Sammat Maye Gahiyam----------!!!."
( Arihanta is my God, Susadhu is my teacher and Jineshwar Deo's preaching is my religion for entire life ,I take this Samkit( oath) and go for following thinking process--- known as Bhavana ( wishes), One major requirement of Dyan i with full concentration. One has
to either close eye or concentrate on a object with eye open .Hence
one has to learn those Bhavana by heart and then go for in Dyan.

There is difference in "Karyao-utsarg" and "Dyan'.In former one has to give up love of body and in constant stature he has have to go in for pure soul searching. While later is with concentration with any      good and pure thoughts. Both are exercises of mind with thoughts. In Pratikaman, we required to be in "Karyo -Utsargh" doing 12 Loggas.

 1-Anitya Bhavna- ( Non-permanent )- King ,president every born has to die, how can I be exception to this basic rule ?. Let me use  time available for religion. Let me give up fear of death fully. From
here I have to go to some where else. Unless I achieve salvation the
cycle will never stop. So let me try to cut off life and death cycles.
2- A-sharan Bhavana- ( No-shelter )-- At time of death relatives, friends. doctors can not save me. Let me do good things. Only my
Karma and my actions are responsible for results. Arihant Bhagwan can only guide me to face sufferings with coolness .I surrender my
self to them for ever till my last birth.

3 Sansar Bhavana- ( life )--Everybody has problem- this or that, let me end the sufferings forever by moving on path of  salvation.
4- Ekatava Bhavana- ( Lonely )--All soul take birth alone and die alone, nobody can accompany departing soul. Then why I am loving others more than my soul. Soul is the only companion of mine. I must starve hard to clean it. He is real friend and will not leave me.
5-Anayatva Bhavna-  ( No one) -----Even my loved body will not accompany me in my last journey. It will be burnt here only. Then why I am loving non material things like land, bungalow and cars and material things like body, friends and relatives ?.Let me change
6- A-suchi Bhavna- ( Unclean ) My body is generating so many bad liquids- still why I am loving it----------- ?. I shall not waste time to decorate it. Instead of it, I shall concentrate on cleaning of my soul.
7- Aasarav Bhavna- ( Incoming ways of sins )-My slight mistake can open doors for sins to mix with my soul. I must be careful to avoid it. I must avoid additions of negative deeds to my soul.
8- Sanwar Bhavana- (  Closing incoming ways for sins )-----------
 I must constantly try hard to keep my soul away from sins all time.
Let me get engage in Samaik and like  all other religious activities.

9-Nirjara Bhavna- ( Cutting Karmas )- I have to nullify good and bad Karmas to attain salvation. I must live  simply to preserve good deeds to get favorable things in coming births. I must get engage in cutting bad Karmas by Tap ( fast) and Swadhyaya (Reading of Aagam)  and by following ways suggested by Mahveer Bhagwan.

10- Lok Bhavana- ( Universe ) It is very very kind of Thirthankara Bhagwan that I can know ,the universe, it's largeness and could realize steps to end cycles of life and death in this vast universe.

11-Bodhi Durlabh  Bhavna-( Difficulty of getting true and correct knowledge). I am fortunate enough to get correct knowledge of nine Tatvas and Jainism. Without it, I could not have walked on path
 of Bhagwan. I am fortunate to keep away from wrong religion faith.
12- Dharma Bhavna- ( Faith in correct religion ) Now it is crystal clear to me that there is no other shelter than correct religion where I can surrender to end my sufferings. Fortunately I got Jainism as a
correct religion. I pray to have same religion in all my next births.

JAINISM--CLASSIFICATION OF SOULS-- PAST AND PRESENT---------!!!

Jainism provide one more tool to review self conduct. It is the soul's classification in four category. It is helpful so one can take corrective actions with proper guidance from our holy books thirty two Aagam.
The classification can be studied on next lines as given in" Aagam."
1- Punyanibandh Punya--Good and good- This category of people have accumulated balance of good deeds as evident from their life's present favorable position in terms of material and spiritual things. In current life they are engaged in good charity, good deeds and full all  round religious activities. They are free from living worries if any.
2-Punyanibandi Paap- Good and bad--They are people with the favorable conditions but are too busy and not finding time for soul. Neither giving any thought to source of earning and return to society. Only aim to accumulate wealth and keep family and circle happy.
3- Papanubhandi Punya-Bad and good They are presently in suffering state of life. Still they are able to find out correct knowledge, correct religion and correct preacher and walking on path of salvation ignoring the current sufferings of life. They regret
past and engaged in proper shaping of current life,
4- Papanubandhi Paap-- Bad and bad-- They are cruel may be enjoying life but have no mercy and do not care for others. For a small price they can do any thing without caring for others. Their thinking ,action, reaction all suggest cruelty within soul. Nether they care for future or present. Greed and cruelty are their benchmarks.
One has to believe these classification. As a sample case---- one can study given cases. It can show difference in action and thought. One decides to donate substantial part of his wealth for up bringing and welfare of under privileged without caring for self and family's future. While another plan to plant bomb in public place or agree to shoot out innocent children or people for money and all other wrong reasons. Such vast difference is being backed by quality of our soul.
Thus we can look within our conduct and examine own soul.  It can show-whether one is adding to his good deeds or bad deeds and bring positive change leading to Moksha. Soul searching can help us.
Good deeds offer favorable position to have Jainism and Jinwani availability in future lives. It can achieve early salvation target.

JAINISM--SELECTING SUDHARM AND SUGURU---- FOR SALVATION--------!!!

We attach immense importance to any selection in life. Specially if it is admission of our kids to school or college we become extra careful in such selection .As the final result will shaping future of our loved kid. We make comparative chart listing all possible positive and the negative points  such as quality of knowledge imparted by teachers, their conduct, location. past history of merit lists, university attached campus career opportunities, track record of past students and fees.
Unfortunately- we do not take like care for selecting Religion, God showing the path and Teacher  or Guru interpreting Dharma. One thing I want to clear in this blog is that here I am not advocating any Religion. Because faith of everyone is almost important to me  and I am the last person to cause harm to anybody. Generally- we follow the religious beliefs of ancestors and there is little scope for change.
One need not change basic religion but just be open to introspect it.  observe good features if any with others and to bring it into self life. I have heard one good quality of King of forest i.e. lion. He has habit
of looking back and move forward. Blind faith can harm your march to salvation. Just check your following with three tests. Whether path chosen by you to know God and truth is meeting following three test.

1-Sudeo ( correct God )---  If his preaching give equality of all living things and is free from love and hate towards all living souls-----?.
2-Sudharma ( correct Religion )- If it is showing path to salvation and is advocating  correct ways for souls to attain it at earliest---?.
3-Suguru ( correct guide)- If he practices by self his own teachings ?
The reason to check it arise because getting knowledge from basic religious books is comparatively easy than self practice. Is Guru free from material attraction of money and other prohibited things like woman's company, vehicle, fan, mobile etc.? We may with affection for Jain religion worship him for his white dress but person within 
such clothes  may not be able to give up domestic connections. If he behaves equally with rich and poor followers and walking on correct path as strictly prescribed by Bhagwan ?. There is separate a code of conduct for ordinary person and monk by Mahaveerswami. He has not given any liberty to a person becoming monk by taking Diksha. His monk followers must follow basic five principles without change
There is no use of advocating any particular religion because as it is most sensitive issue and everybody is attached to it with his share of good deeds,. But since it involves ultimate freeing of  soul one must review the path undertaken in form of Sudharma and Sugurudeo.One must not get his salvation late by a wrong selection. Be careful

JAINISM--ANEKANTWAD THEORY-----!!!

The Kewaldyani Bhagwan Mahaveerswami pronounced this theory. To summaries it- tells the basic fact that there can be more than one view for any matter. Bhagwan given this theory to mankind-- so that entire human race can live life in harmony .The human race with this theory, can agree existence of more ways to reach near the real truth.
One can analyze post results for wars fought between two nations. It will show that no problem was being solved fully. But the result was known only after loss of lives of so many soldiers and civilians. War is usually undertaken to establish the power, greed and own strength.
When we engage ourselves in any quarrel ,we just ignore opinion of others. Individual perception differs due to so many factors like own 
intelligence levels, upbringings, cultures, surroundings and readings.
Still with sense of pride, ego and so called self respect and beliefs we opt for fighting. The theory is explained well with a story of six blind men and their opinions for nature of elephant depicted in a following image. It is a good story to understood  concept Anekantwad.           
In the picture  six blind men used to represent our half knowledge
level. Lack of knowledge term is used because knowledge is infinite like ocean and our knowledge is just like a drop of ocean's water in the mouth of a sparrow. Unfortunately, we boost to know all of it and are very proud for it. Every body, when asked how the object looked like all have different answer than one other. Now just think if they engage in fight for correctness of own opinion-whether they are Justified -?. Same theory applies in real life. Let us do fact check.
This can be the actual situation in life where we can avoid disputes.

A lady can be wife, sister, mother, aunt for others as per relations involved. Like it opinion can differ person to person, we must give it a thought before loosing our coolness. If one adopt the approach right is mine ,instead of mine is right so many problems can be solved. The theory requires to respect voice of dissent of others.
Person having different than your view should not make him your enemy. Let him has his own view. This tolerance can be achieved by this theory giving concept of unity in diversity and coexistence of all.
  If one study all major religions have more than one division though all of them is worshiping the same founder. The basic cause of all difference is interpretation of original script. But following Anekatawad theory ,they go for co-existence peacefully.
 In Jainism there is two major divisions with wearing of clothes by monks. Swetamber and Digaamber. One is going with clothes while another one is going without clothes. Again with these two, there are another divisions one worshiping statues another just going to holy place called Sthanak.

 But a common thread of Navkar mantra and Mahaveer Bhagwan keeping them together since they agree in principle theory of Anekantawad. Thus the theory reduces the conflicts to minimum.
Let us hope, world digest it for own peace and harmony. The theory
can help to have conflict less society.

JAINISM----LOOKING WITHIN SOUL---DHYAN------!!!

Jainism provides self searching through a process called ,Dyan or Krayautasarag. Krayautasarag is giving up love for body and to carry on positive thinking called Dhyan. Modern theory termed it to be mediation. One shall engage himself when ever, he finds free time preferably in morning or while going to bed. Only aim is to have calm and quite surroundings. Dhyan can lead to deep inner peace. 
Before the study, let us some introduction. We have been gifted with two eyes to see the outer world. Irony of it is that it cannot see self face without help of mirror. So it is unable to look within the soul. Hence for Dhyan, one has to close eyes and disconnect with outside.
 In Pratikaman Bhagwan specified 5th serial Pada for it. For layman it is advised to do with 4,8,12,20 and 40 Loggas Sutra. Loggas is in praise of present period's Thrithankaras from  Bharat Kheshtra. If  one is not knowing it he can use Navkar Mantra for engagement in "Dhyan". This should be the auspicious beginning for doing Dyan.
One has to sit in right posture in lonely and peaceful  place and has to concentrate on breathing in and out  and  perform the " Dhyan or
Karyautasarag" keeping silence. Time frame one can decide as per own free time which can be gradually increased. The mind shall be free, while focusing and concentrating one can imagine the posture with following or any other similar image available on social media.
You can engage your self in Chintan ( Thinking ) as following lines
 or it can be own composition based on Jainism religious study.
1- I am only soul altogether different than  present body. Soul is permanent and non perishable one. With layers of  Karmas ,I am passing through number of cycles of life and death through 8.40 millions places of birth. I have decided to cut roots of all layers of Karmas with Nirjara and good deeds and is careful to avoid new karmas with a aim to attain salvation. Salvation is my only one aim.
 Siddha Bhagwan. Arihant Bhagwan and Gurudeva -I seek your help for this mission of mine. Please help me  for correct ,Samyag ways  knowledge, faith and conduct. Due to ignorance I have committed lot of sins of 18 types and 25 Mithyatava  marked by wrong faith in all previous and present lives and I am really sorry for such bad conduct of my soul from bottom of my heart. I request all got hurt by me knowingly or not knowingly to forgive me, I also forgive all. I pray to have Sudeo,Sudharma and Sugurudeo for all next lives. Nigatham Payanam Sacham Tameva Saccham Jum Jinehim Payeim is my faith
2- I am waiting for the day when I can give up all possessiveness and follow Aparigraha leading to a very simple and honest living my life.
3- I am waiting for the day when I can become monk leaving all domestic affairs and carry out maximum efforts to know and follow Bhagwan's path. I pray for early fulfillment of my dream of Moksha.
4- I am waiting for the day when at the end of life I can take Santhara and leave current body with  peace by regretting all sins and doing Pratikaman. Siddha Siddi Mam thee Santu------------!!!
