JAINIISM--NO SHORT CUT FOR SALVATION-------!!!!

Today is  monthly Pakshik-Parva-Pakki-needs to be observed with maximum religious activities.So I went to Sthanak/Mandir to offer respect to Gurudeo and attended question-answer session.
One devotee stood up and with due permission asked Gurudeoshree-
" Sir-I have full faith and respect for Jainism and is very much impressed by Jain Monks. I also wish to become monk but due to various domestic issues can not go for it now. So can I work for salvation without leaving domestic life, can I achieve salvation--- ?.   Sir, we have heard similar case of Marudevimata-Mother of  Shri
Rishabdeo Bhagwan our first Thirthankar Bhagwan-------,?."
Gurudeo looked at him and answered--"Your intentions are good but salvation is not possible from home. Case of Marudevimata  was exceptional  and it cannot be generalized. If one can get the peace at home why devotees visit holy places like Sthanaks and temples---?,
Students go to school, library and colleges rather than studying at home. There is tremendous difference of situation. state of mind and atmosphere at those places. The difference is quite obvious.

In home you will be with family members, all comforts of life available ,food is ready on time as per your wish list--then where is scope of sacrifice. On the other hand Sadhus, do not know whether they will get food, water for the day or not and at which place they will stay for the day. They think only for today and not tomorrow.
They can not use vehicle ,nor supported by foot wares, umbrella or blankets .With permitted pots and clothes only, they have to carry on without sense of complaint or disturbance in any circumstances.
Suppose one put self restrictions at home still there are interactions with family members and friends which can result into human's  natural attachments duly increased by love or hate.

At home one can go for 11 to 15 Samaiks maximum for a day.But monks are in Samaik for all 24x 7 hours time till last breath.
While taking Samaik Shrawak says--"Jaav-niyamam Pachkkami ", one  Samaik ka Pachkkan". While monk is being given Diksha with  life long  Samik Pachkkan without one or any number for it.
So monks are one of  five Gods referred in Aagam as "Dharmadeo" by Lord Mahaveer. With this reason they have to leave home.
I will recommend you to go through following chapters of Aagam
Bhagwatisutra to study the difference of Monk and others.
1- Neryik and Sadhu ki Nirjara---16/04 chapter.
2--Shraman Nirganth ka Sukh----14/09 chapter.
From study at Home you can know the path of salvation but to walk on it becoming monk and following instructions of Bhagan Mahveer is compulsory. There is no shortcut or easier ways for it.
It is just like soldiers have to go on battlefield to fight a war one has to give up domestic life and cut all human connections. No doubt becoming monk is too difficult but precious things can not be easily obtained by ordinary deeds. Gold gets purified when passed through test of burning in fire." Gurudeo completed his answer.
We bowed to Gurudeo-- while leaving the venue I just visualized the braveness of young monks giving up the easy path of home and walking on great path. I saluted all of them in mind.

PREGNANCY and JAINISM----PART-2.----------!!!

Friends my yesterday's attendance in Gurudeo's session was indeed a unique experience. A woman visited Gurudeo for Darshan with her daughter in law. She told Gurudeo "Sir, I earlier visited a physician and consulted him for clinical care for my pregnant daughter as an a routine exercise. But later on, I felt that it is more necessary to take advice for spiritual care, so please guide us for it. " With usual smile Gurudeo answered "Good and visionary question, Keeping time constraint in mind my summarized guidance along with study of Bhagwatisutra can provide you the desired important results I hope.
In chapter 01/07 under the head 'Garbha-vichar' Bhagwan Mahavira has explained various issues related to this subject worth reading.
Such as connections of baby with mother, various components of her body, her ways to take food and transform it into  five organs, her hereditary features, her output, her happiness and sorrows. In her the mother's womb the soul of child completes six power termed as Parayapties- known as food, body, organs, breathing, language and mind. If the soul unable to build 1 of above forth power then it dies.
Bhagwan has also explained ways of baby's safe arrival or otherwise. Situations causing danger to life of mother is also being explained.
If the baby arrives from head or leg side it is safe. If it is from center
or zigzag mode, it can be dangerous to both of them. Reference to
full chapter text can be very useful for all future mothers. The soul
derives 3 major parts from mother and 3 parts from father. Mother's
parts are muscles, blood and brain. father's parts are bone, marrow.
hair, moustache, beard and pores. All other parts are combined one,

The particular soul in case of unsafe arrival can go to heaven / hell as per her thought process duly explained with examples. Hearing of monk's lecture or prayers have positive impact on baby.
Mother's food, her thinking, state of her happiness, fear and sorrows has direct bearing and total impact on the baby. Hence the mother shall spend most of her time in  chatting of Navkarmantra, Loggas, visits to monks and taking Manglik, Samaik, Pratikaman, Swadhay
,Bhaktamber, Pucchisunam and so on. With it she can spend most time in good thoughts. It can positively affect the baby. Those eight
months time is a most testing period for any mother and her baby.

Reading good literature of Jainism and other religious activities is beneficial to a great extent. Adult literature must be avoided at all.
Thinking about soul ,it's nature in mediation can help very much. Mediation with Navkar is a good tool to impart training to child. She 
keep herself away from bad habits if any, bad surroundings, wrong beliefs, anger ,bad food ,drinks etc. Be careful to participate in other  misleading Sanskar camps run with commercial motives. The bond

created with new baby remains for ever. Even when baby grows up
she seeks the soft touch in baby blanket or teddy bear as mother.
A future mother can read the blog which covers 14 dreams of Mata
Trishala and try to concentrate on qualities of dreams for baby. It
may help to have fractional qualities of Bhagwan Mahaveerswami.


Remember mother's womb is a most holy and powerful place in universe. All great souls like Thirthankars and Kewaldyani find their ways to mankind through it. So proper handling needed.
In Jain terminology mother of a monk is being termed as
"Ratnakhukshi" (Womb for diamond or jewel) with respect.
Here with I quote a stanza from Bhaktamber Sotra. It has very
good message for all future mothers who can be"Veermata".

 It means" All directions are reflecting sun rays. Similarly all
mothers give birth to child. But as only east is powerful to give
birth to Sun only special mothers can give birth to Thirthankar
     Motherhood is a great responsibility assigned to the mother by nature. If she can fulfill it to fullest to her ability ,we can welcome the addition of a good citizen and good human being on earth.
 No doubt the contribution of father and other family members to the process is also equally important. With a joint efforts we can have a newcomer walking on path of salvation." Gurudeo concluded
There was total silence in the room. I made a note to visit the place again with my daughter in law and my grand daughter-the little angle next time. While leaving the venue numerous waves and voices from past were emerging in my memories and ears. I looked upto the sky and bestowed my head with respect as a token of gratitude for the sufferings my parents passed through for our up bringing. I asked for forgiveness for any of my disrespect to them. Seeds of our religious

firmness ,faith and belief have roots in upbringing imparted by them. Grand salute to such noble souls. A single life is not sufficient for  paying of their debts, I feel every reader will agree with it--------!!!.

JAINISM-SIX PHASES OF SALVATION-------------!!!

I was very curious to know which salvation phases Gurudeo told on next day, when he was supposed to resume the balance portion of answer asked in last blog. I could not attend it next day, I collected notes based on the topic from one of my friend devotee during my current visit. I studied  those notes further to my possible extent.
I got some more explanation on notes and making it available to my Blog viewers -which can be immense useful to salvation seekers.
These notes were based on 03/01 Chapter of Bhagwatisutra and 68 Sutra of Rajprashniyasutra. To read blog with Aagam reference can be more useful to understand the subject easily and at more details.

 As a custom Devta and Indra from Heaven used to visit our Earth to meet Thirthankar Bhagwan. On visit of Devta Sanatkumar Indra and Suryabhadeo to Mahaveerbhagwan, Gurugautamswami asked Pujya Bhagwan fate and future of both of them so as to provide guidance to followers. In answer Bhagwan has informed how Moksha is being obtained in following six phases. Let us study it for future reference.

Bhagwan Mahaweerswami explained salvation process, which both above referred Devatas will be completing in a near positive way.
These six phases are  discussed below :
1) Bhav Siddik /Abhavsiddik
2) Samyagdrishti/Mithyadristhi
3) Parittasansariye/Aparittasansariye
4) Sulabbhodhiye/Durlabhbodhiye
5) Aarahaye/Virahaye
6) Charime/Acharime
First are positive and next shown by (/) mark are being negative for salvation. Since the terms used above are in original from Aagaam languages of Ardhamaghdhi, let us examine it's meaning  to clear concepts. These can also be taken as conditions to get salvation.

 1) Bhavi: Means eligible for salvation. One can not answer why one is Bhavi and another one is Abhavi. It is just basic nature of any soul. Thus plant can grow only in fertile land and not in desert. Similarly male can have mustache and beard while ,it is missing from female. One interesting thing is that all Bhavi souls will get salvation at the end. Since the number of such souls is infinite and time of salvation differs from each other -The Universe will always have Bhavi souls yet to be liberated. For Abhavi there is no option of salvation. They have endless life and death cycles. Bhavi means soul who will be able to cut off wrong faith and adopt  Bhagwant's teaching with the passage of time. With gain of Samyagdyan they will be able to do it.
2) Samyagdrishti:
 Samkit means having faith on Jinwani and teachings of Bhagwan.
From inception each soul is carrying  on with wrong believes.it is called as Mithyadrishti and termed as Krishnapakshi. After numerous life and death cycles dawn of right faith knocks the doors of given  the particular  a soul and he becomes Shuklapakshi. A positive era begins for salvation. Touch of Samyagdyan makes soul Shuklapakshi

 The Samkit touched may come and go. But now he is not new to it. Now ,he has came out of  countless cycles category and entered in defined cycles of Ardha Pudgal Parivartan category to get definite salvation. Once the soul entered  Shuklapaksha zone it has achieved  a predefined salvation period and he will not return to Krishnapaksh. In a nutshell he is marching for a definite salvation sooner or later.
If he is able to hold Samkit and opt for good deeds, he can have good life and death cycles in future. Otherwise he will finish his term with  many sorrowful cycles of life and death before getting salvation.
3) Parittasansari: Means balance of maximum 7 life of heaven and 8 life of human. Paritta means limited ambit of  domestic lives. Now the destination of salvation is in sight with a clear defined period.
It happens if Samkit is being got and soul does not fall from it. Soul has continuous Samkit in this category .In his last lecture Pujyashri Bhagwanmahaveer told very beautiful two lines in Uttaradhyansutra 36/266-- " Jinvayan Anuratta "-------------means soul having faith and respect in Jinwani becomes Parittasansari. They have limited  countable lives and death cycles. It requires conduct as per Jinwani
4) Sulabhbodhi: (Easy grasping, understanding constant liking)
 Means easy availability of right knowledge, right religion. right faith, easy circumstances to get  constant availability of best religious
opportunity to uplift soul. Such soul are interested to read maximum Aagaam, visit temple/Sthanak, meet Gurudeo, take participation in Chaturmas to have Dharmaprabhavna like etc. With out much efforts they can access various opportunities to follow great Jainism.
5) Aaradhaka- 
Now the soul has fully surrendered to Jinwani. His all actions are as per Bhagwan's teachings. Even in dream he cannot think otherwise.
His actions, faith, feelings. message all are as per Bhagwan's saying.

6) Charama: Means last. Now the soul will take only one life and then will not go for next life with body. He will nullify Karman and Tejas body causing new life. Soul will get salvation in current life.

 Thus the soul will take last birth  as human in Mahvideha khetra
 or other eligible place, take Diksha with Kewalibhagwan or Pujya Viharmanbhagwan, engage in  best religious practice and get salvation. Thus soul's long cherished dream come true.

 Now his all good/bad; Karmas and Deeds get nullified. The soul started with darkness layers, now it  removes all darkness and leaves body and leaves in crystal clear body less form in eternal peace for ever at top of universe known as "Siddhasheela".

 Now let us examine our inner soul-how far it has traveled on the path of salvation. I thanked the devotee and offered Vandana to Gurudeo and left the holy venue with delight .Let us at least reach
the stage of "Parittasansasari" to limit our next life and death cycles.

JAINISM--PROCESS OF BIRTH,DEATH AND NEXT LIFE---------!!!.

I thought to start new year 2016 on a auspicious note. I went to meet Gurudeo on 01/01/2016 and participated in questions and answers session. One devotee asked Gurudeo--" Sir, please explain  Jainism theory related to how a soul takes birth after completion of current life and what are the phases to achieve salvation for any soul ".

 Gurudeo said " you seek answer for two questions. Both of them are very vast, so I will cover only birth part today and discuss the phases portion later on. Since the answer is too vast, I can refer here it in a summary form with relevant reference for further study by you later.
For birth  keep the image of three circles in mind as a continuous process till a soul gets salvation to understand the complete process.

First arrow is last birth, second one is current one and last one is the next birth. Life of current birth was built in last life so as for next life you will be building it in current life and so on unless you cut off the Karman body. Karman body is one's earned Karmas good or bad.
Accumulated balance of both Karman body and Tejas body are being transferred to the soul while taking new birth. It is not being carried forward when soul gets salvation finally due to zero balance.
 Science believe that male and female sperm combination causes birth of a baby where as Jainism believe that it only provide food to soul to build body and organs. That is the reason why some part of body, deceases may resemble either of parent. However individual nature depends upon individual quality of soul. A soul after expiry  or completing his specified term in particular body leaves that body by what we call as death .Fixed life getting exhausted every second.

 Immediately after death soul enters the womb of a lady matching it's Leshya ( sentiments, quality of soul ) from his fixed one out of 4 Gati
category of living soul. It stays there for a specified period more than nine months then enters the world to complete his new term as per life built in last birth. The soul enters with maximum ten " Pran". For birth in heaven or hell there is no mother. The birth spot for them is called as "Kumbhi" for hell and is "Devshaya" for Devta of Devloga.

Second important point is to know the process of fixing nature of death. Usually lives in hell and heaven have fixed term life called as Niruprakaman life ( death without any external cause ) while all .
others can have Soprakaman ( death with a cause ) or  a mixed type.
First category fix the next life before six months of current life term expiry. While second category builds it any time between when 1/3 of  (1 to 729 the portion of 1/3) current life balance is remaining.   This process happens unknowingly called -(Anabhognivatiyauya).
It generally happens on Bhadrapad Shukla Panchmi, when Jain celebrates Sawastari. Hence it is a important day of life for all Jain.

The process is completed in 1 to 8 attempts called as Aakarsha. In this process the soul builds six feature of  next life. They are namely
Any one of Jaati ( Ekendriya to Panchedriya ),Gati ( hell,plants or animal,human ,heaven ) period, shape (Avagahana), Pradesh (happy and sad moments) and Anubhag  ( severity of such sufferings or happiness during this particular life term ).The whole process of
next life fixation takes less than 48 minutes ( Antramuhurta ).
One can refer Pradyanapana Sutra ( 17/06,06) and Bhagwati Sutra (01/07,07/06.05/03 ) for detailed study. It can add to understanding.
Be careful for your deeds and be engaged in good deeds  because any time next life can be built at any unknown time "Gurudeo concluded.
No doubt the lecture was difficult to understand but it removed many doubts, we thanked Gurudeo and left the venue. I asked one regular fellow devotee to pass on notes to me for second part for next blog.

JAINISM -LET YOUR KID GROW WITH JAINISM VALUES------------!!!

As usual after a long gap, I could attend the lecture session of Pujya Gurudeo. In it Gurudeo stressed need of simple living and not to
have keep only one aim of earning money. He warned with it- one may be comfortable with material life but may be a looser spiritually.
He quoted few names from Jain community who were rich and educated but opted to be Jain monk giving all wealth to society and charity. He hinted at falling values in young generation. His worries for next generation touched hearts of many of his listeners present.
After the lecture few members were discussing points of lecture so I also joined them. The opinion at large was that the status of present living is becoming worse with each passing day. Present cut throat competition is making our kids money oriented. They are not happy in real term and running for success only. Parenting now a days has became a serious issue we felt .Gurudeo's concerns were too true.  

In majority opinion cultivation of some moral value study can offer them some diversification of goals. It can make them  to understand real happiness and causes of misery of life. So as a conclusion, need of hour seemed to  make recommendation to higher authorities to have Jainism as a subject to be introduced in education system.
I suggested to seek guidance of Gurudeo on it. His views are forming part of blog. I hope it to be more relevant in current time. Gurudeo said " It is a thought with good  intentions but has very bad side effects. In my opinion any type of religious views forcing and greed
 for natural resources will carry seeds of world's unrest in future. So it is wise not to recommend any specific religious study. 
Instead they can cover one subject with teachings of all great soul of all major religions. Thus the kid will be at liberty to choose any one or more from the bunch to follow for his life based on his own best judgement.He must give all teachings a deep thought and conclude.
One hidden benefit will be that since he knows, all teachings he will not hate any one .I am sure all Religion's basic is love and simplicity. So the study will make him a better and responsible citizen. He can understand  the happiness one can derive from spirituality. Personal choice can make him confident. It can make him more focused
If it is not practical then the best place to impart such moral values is at one's home. Naturally best teachers are duo of Mother and Father. They need to tell him that some principles are carrying more value than money and wealth. They can do it. Because every soul has his inbuilt faith and utilization of  mind, speech and body component (Darshan and Upayoga) Simply they have to lit the lamp of spirituality. Then the light will take care of faith.
We saluted his vision and left the venue with decision  to have follow up to possible extent. We decided to undertake parents awareness program to enable parting of Jainism knowledge. We all agreed for inclusion of  minimum Jainism teaching material for kid upbringing.
