Friends, I am sharing with you- views of Jainism to attain Salvation through series of short blogs. Let us study first .why we shall opt for salvation ?.Salvation put end to new birth of a soul. Soul after getting salvation does not get any body. Due to two bodies i.e. Karman and Tejas body, soul has to wear any of remaining 3 body. As there is no birth, there will be no death There is total freedom from all new birth and death.Soul will have a constant place for ever free from pain.
Two basic conditions I can quote for salvation on following lines--.
1-You must believe that body and soul are different. Body is just our physical presence. The main substance is soul and body simply does provide cover for soul as per category of present life. Category is being termed as "Gati",they are four-hell, heaven, mankind and plant including animals . Not falling in all 4 are non living having no soul.
The related science is called as differential science, In Hindi it mean
Bhedvidnyan duly explained in Nine Tatva by Mahaveerswami. Soul is an invisible atom. It is permanent and forever. One cannot discover it's starting point as is "Anadi" which mean no beginning and no end
2-You must believe that present is not the only one birth, we all have taken, We have been passed through number of cycles of lives and deaths before current one, We have yet to pass so many such cycles until we free our souls from all sins and good deeds. Only after then on getting salvation particular soul needs no birth again.
3- Jainism introduces one major term called as Bhavi Soul and other Abhavi Soul. Former type are only eligible for salvation. All souls falling into this category will definitely get salvation at the end. Even such end period may differ from soul to soul known to Kewali.
Second category will continue to pass endless cycles of lives and death in different forms of four Gati. The reason for non salvation for Abhavi soul is non approval of Jainism forever by such soul. They will never change ,their wrong faith even after so many births.
Those are basic conditions other 13 conditions we will discuss in advance study to be covered in next few chapters in due course.
