Friends, above one liner is from Aagam " Dushvekalik Sutra". This is regarded as "Mula Sutra" composed by" Pujya Aacharya Shree Shayanabhav swami". Aacharyaji took "Diksha" when his wife was pregnant.Aachayji studied 14 Purva and was second "Shrutkewali". Subsequently his wife gave birth to a baby boy named as "Manak". After some time boy Manak met his monk father and took"Diksha" under him. Acharya was knowing this child monk has a very short span of life. In such a short span to study all Aagams was difficult. In order to help little monk to know summary of thirty two Aagams, Aacharyaji composed TEN chapters of "Aagam'---- popularly called
as "Dushvekalik Suttra". It contains in short what is real "Dharama".The meaning of it " The Dharma is best auspicious which contains Non-violence, Sayaam and Tap. Dharma is what a living soul posses in and out while living. Heavenly Gods bowed down to such a noble souls. Needless to point out that Jainism involves all 3 features in it. Dushvekalik's all 10 chapter are easy and can be remembered easily. Shrutkewali means Kewali who knew by hearing or studying while "Kewali" knows everything for all three periods directly themselves.
We all have some faith or beliefs with which we live life. Ahinsa is all about caring for other living souls. Sayam simply mean to control all organs including mind, speech and body actions. Jain religion has given 20 tools for it. Tap denotes to go for Pachkhans or fast as suits our body. It aims to restrict our taste and quantum of intake. A soul may belong to any Dharma, if he is living life with these three basics he is following correct religion. It may be labelled by any other name
One may not to free to read all Aagams just add 3 elements to life. One may be blessed enough to have all resources, even such rich one need to utilize his wealth keeping in mind these holy elements in his daily conduct while dealing with self and others. Following a correct like Jain religion is not a easy task. It requires liking, reading a good religious literature, building a correct faith which leading to a correct religion and following it. Jinwani is a ocean without drowning in it fully, it is difficult for any soul to cut his numerous next lives cycles. Dushvekalik is a guide for all Shrawaks and monks. It guides them for Gochari, Aachar, Anachar, Vinay and all essentials for salvation. Engagement with Dharma offers a strength pillar to any soul. With it Dharma we get calm and cool vision to face the calamities of life as life cannot be bed of roses all the times .Dharma specially if is Jain religion it can explain soul and coverage of Karma on it and ways to clear the layers of it so one can reach the last destination of Moksha.
