SAMAIK-4-INTRODUCTION TO SWADHYA.---------!!!

Bhagawan Mahaveer has told two types of Tap. One is done with body known as Baayantar (outer) Tap. Second one is internal Tap known as Aabhayantar done with soul. Body for each individual
differs, one may or may not be fit for outer Tap. So one can use the best available tool of reading Jain holy books called Aagams.Only
fortunate human can be blessed to have chance to read "Jinwani".

It is a very strong Karma cutting tool. Swadhya means study of self. With soul study one can know the Universe and ways to free soul from Karmas. What one read or hear outside- for Jainism - may not be exactly meant by Mahaveerswami. Reasons may be human errors element. It is always possible till any one obtains Kevaldyana.
If we study Aagams directly ,we can know what is actually told by Bhagwan. The words used in those 32 Aagams are too perfect one.
One sample of Aagam is attached herewith for getting idea, it is in Ardhamaghdi language and easy for reading. One can study it and ask others to follow. One can take care to read it in specified time   and conditions given in books. Men and women can read it, there is  no restriction. Only women shall take care not to read it in 4 or days of period. It is very useful for future of child if they do Swadhya in
pregnancy period. If any one requires set of 32 Aagams  and any other religious books in hard copy form he can inquire details with contact number--01462- 251216 @ Beawar in Rajasthan-email ID--samyagdarshan@gmail.com. The office of Samyagdarshan is at    Jodhpur contact number is 0291-2626145. One can get books at no profit no loss cost basis. One can can search for Jain library for e-learning, 32 books price was  up to 3k, For record purpose, I do not have no marketing interest in it. It's onlyefforts for"Dharmaprabhvna.
We can learn and remember some of Aagams. I know so many good
Shrawaks who can recite Dushvekalik, Nandi and Uttaradhan Sutra.
11 Angasutra are being composed by fifth Ganghar of Bhagwan
Mahaveerswami being Sudharmaswani. Now He is Siddha by
achieving salvation. Let us do whatever is possible for "Swadhay ".
Remembering Aagam through Swadhya can be much helpful when
eye power and hearing power gets affected in old age. In such  a
situation doing Swadhya can offer much needed inner peace.

SAMAIK-INTRODUCTION TO PRATIKAMAN----------!!!

One can engage himself in Pratikaman in Samaik. Pratikaman is very essential component of Jainism. Aakraman is a known Hindi word. It means attack. Pratikaman is it's opposite. It is going back from what you did with sense of apology. It is daily cleaning of the our own
soul by a deep look into it. It involves self review of your all action on daily basis and feel sorry for misdeeds. Bhagwan termed it as a "Aavashyak Sutra".Aavashyak means compulsory daily twice times.
If you find any action done was unfair and might have caused pain to others ,you have to express regret. Pratikaman means you agree that certain sins and conduct were not worth doing it but due to the some  circumstances you have done it. Now while looking back, you regret the actions and say sorry for it. You also decides not to do it again or at least try to reduce it. Here you indirectly approve that what Pujya Bhagwan Mahaveer told is worth following but you failed to do it. For it now you have sense of falling in duty now- doing Pratikamn.
Pratikaman is being divided into six parts as  per following lines.
1-Samaik-It is taking vow for going for due Pratikaman in Samaik.
2-Loggas.-Praise of 24 Tirthankrs.
3-Vandana by Khamasana  2 Path to Arihant and Siddha Parmatma.
4-Pratikaman-- It is for 12 Sthul Vrata. Sthul means overall.
(for committed sins) and 12 Anuvrata( for sins not to commit in future -now deciding) with Vandana to 5 Padas of Panchparmesthi.
5-Karyotsarga It is Dyan with Loggas. Number of Loggas are differ for routine days and other days. They are-- Devasi (Before sunrise ) Rayasi (After sunset ) x 4 each, Pakkhi ( On full moon day) x 12, and Chomasi Pakkhi ( 3 quarterly full moon day Pakkhi ) x 20.
and Sawastari 40----Physical moments needs to be avoided as a rule.
6-Prathykhan--Taking some Niyam or vow for a particular day.
Complete Pratikaman covers five Pratikamans- Mitthyatava, Avrat,
Kashay, Pramad and Ashubhyog Ka Pratikaman.

True Shravakji and Sadhuji do daily two Pratikamans. However others can adjust as per time availability. One shall try not to miss Pakkhi Pratikaman. It can be learned within a month. Once familiar with it then take 48 minutes for completion. Main part is 4th one. It seeks apology for all misdeeds i.e. 14 of knowledge.5 for faith,5 for Salenkhna and 75 of 12 Vrata- total 99 types of sins for Shrawak.

Once you do it the coverage of misdeeds is not completely removed but the Bandh (attachment) is reduced to lower grade. In Pratikaman one has to review- the flash back of the particular day and express regret through mind and shall decide not to repeat the mistake to clean the soul .It is a good tool to  convert sins to milder version.
As we know crystal clean soul is basic condition to attain salvation. Bhagwan has termed it as "Aawashyakasutra" means a compulsory one. It denotes it's importance and emphasis doing it twice in a day.

JAINISM --SAMAIK-ADDITIONAL MATERIAL-------!!!

In previous blog, we have gone through the need for Samaik. Here I wish to share with you some prayers. Strotra one can add to Samaik.
There is no compulsion, in case you have 48 minutes agenda , one can go ahead with it. Main purpose is equality ( Sambhav) of mind
Mind must be totally free from all worries and domestic affairs. Real meaning of Samaik is neural state of mind in spite of your all routine tensions and worries. One must be above such disturbances in it.
1-Loggas Sutra----------- It contains names and praise of all present
period's 24 Thinthakaras. It is a permanent composition, only name changes as per period involved. In Mahavideha Kshetra, it is same with name of present Thirthankara in each Vijay (part). We call them as "Viharman bhagwan "They are twenty in numbers.
2-Namothunam-------- It is prayer for all Siddha Bhagwans and all Arihant Bhagwans. There is a tradition of two Namotunam offering -first for Siddha and second  one for Arihanta Bhagwan.
3- Manglik-- It is most auspicious for all Jain. It tells greatness of four totally best and good things in Universe - they are being Pujya
Arihanta, Siddha, Sadhus and religion preached by KewaliBhagwan.
4-Bhaktamber Stotra....Aadinath Bhagwan's praise. It is composed by Aacharya Mangungji. Must be used for praising  founder of Jain
religion and not to gain any material gain with full total devotion.

5-Kalyanmandir Strotra---------It is Parshvanath Bhagwan's praise composed by Aacharya Shri Siddhasen Diwakarji.
One can take above as guide lines, Full text can be searched on net or Jain library. Just note to detach yourself from domestic worries  and search within own soul. Once you start it ,slowly you will discover  additional material through 32 Aagam.Sooner it will create interest.
                                       x
      x
If one finds above to be difficult, then one can simply chat names of 24 Thirthanar Bhagwan on Mala,it has 108 Manies.

6- Puchhisunam--Slowly, one can aim to learn by heart praise of Mahaveer Bhagwan. It is composed by Sudharmaswamiji, who attained Moksha. It falls under 'Swadhya' known as "Puchhisunam"
or "Veerstuti." It has 29 stanza-Gatha. If remembered by heart, it can take 3 minutes to complete. Thus 15 times recitation can be done in 1 Samaik. One can see separate blog provided in some other space. To learn meaning for better impact. There is full text is given in Blog.
Thus just decide to have minimum one Samaik in a day. It is must to soul as good as food is being needed daily for body.
I just share the beautiful meaning of 22nd stanza of Bhaktamber.
"So many women give birth to a baby boy ,but as only east can give
birth to Sun, only very special woman like Marudevimata can give
birth to first Thirthankar Aadinathbhagwan"-----------------------!!!.

One can have names of 16 Satiyaji and 20 Viharmaan Bhagwan.

JAINISM-SAMAIK-A BEST TOOL TO CUT KARMAS------------!!!

Every one can not take Diksha and become monk or Sadhu due to so many domestic duties. Such as head of family +various attachments.
But he has desire of going for salvation or at least to know the path
For such souls Bhagwan Mahveer prescribed Samaik. Samaik is a way of engaging one self in religious activities with a object to prevent incoming sins and cut accumulated sins. The essence of it is pure state of heart. mind and equality feelings ( Sambhav) for all living things. Samaik is prior and basic study for getting salvation.
To be in one Samaik 48 minutes of total detachment is required .
Why it is for 48 minutes and not for 60 minutes----- ?.Reason being time counting different  approach in Aagam. Let us study reasons
It starts with smallest Samay, Aavalika, one in and one breath, Pran. Stok, Luv and Muhurata --etc. Last. maximum countable number  is 194 digits. It is counted by Shirashapahelika. It is a number with 54 digits and 140 zeroes. This is counting of numbers by Jain Aagams.

The period beyond it is expressed by  concepts termed as Palyopam and Sagropam --numbers cannot count it. Deep hole/ocean is basis.
Only 48 minutes is minimum countable period as per Aagam i.e. Muhurata. The day is of 30 Muhurta means 30 x 48=1440 minutes.
If divided by 60 minutes for each hour ,we get 24 hours. So the basic purpose is to reserve minimum 1 part out of 30 parts for soul. Hence Samaik is for 1 Muhurat. Secondly 2 minutes from each hour for 24 hours equal to 48 minutes that one compulsory shall use for his soul.
In Samaik one has to detach himself from domestic affairs. He can not eat, nor speak with others. Only to be engaged in pure religious activities. Taking Samaik and completing it require speaking 8 and 9 Padas. It requires clean space and some accessories termed as Aasan, Muppati, Punjani, white two clothes to replace shirt and pant and one Baithak to put on holy Aagams. Samaik is a test tool to practice for
looking within self. It is a test how to forget all connection and see
if you can live without world and it's  all various connection. Samaik
starts with words "Karemi Bhante ". Bhante means with Arihant and Siddha Bhagwan as witness, I intend to keep away from all acts
which attract sins. (Sawadya Yogoka Tyag with 2 Karan and 3 Yog)
.

After taking Samaik one can engage one self in all types of religion activities. Can include all or any of followings auspicious activities.
1-Jaap of Navkar Mantra or name of  24 Thirthankar Bhagwan.
2-Pratikaman before sunrise and after sunset.
3-Reading any one Aagam out of 32 Aagamas.
4-Reading Puchhisunam. It is also Swadyaha since it is composed by Siddha Bhagwan Sudharma Swami in praise of Lord Mahaveer.
5-Prayers of Jain Dharma by self without use of electronic devices .
6-Bhaktamber composed by Aacharya Mangtungacharya in praise of Rishabhdeo Bhagwan. It is in Sanskrit with  forty eight stanza.
7-Kalyanmandir composed by Aacharya Siddhasen Diwakar in praise of Lord Parshwanathji. It is also in Sanskrit with 44 Padas.
8- Badi Saadhuvandana composed by Aacharya Jaimalji Maharaj in praise of noble souls who attained salvation or high place in heaven
There is no restrictions but one shall engage himself in all religious activities only. One must take care not to take this time as spare time to plan business or domestic affairs or chat with fellow colleagues.
So let us make our human life and Jain background meaningful by regular Samaik. One Samaik is not capable of reducing all sins but it is the beginning on path of salvation. Just imagine Sadhuji are in 24 hours Samaik till last breath. Let us start with a one Samail daily.

Friends one Samaik daily is minimum for us. Let us take first step towards salvation by engaging our self in Samaik. One must aim to
engage in Samaik avoiding 32 faults-10+10+12= mind, speech and
body. For details of those faults please refer Samaiksutra. Major
need is to detach mind from all surrounding and concentrating on
teachings of Mahaveer Bhagwan and contained in Jinwani.
