JAINISM--DO NOT MISS THE BUS OF PARYUSHAN-----!!!

2015 Praryushan MAHAPARVA is in full swing. For all Jain from different sections, those are the most auspicious 8 days of a year.
It started on 11/09/2015 and will end on 18/09/2015. One day's gap or variation might be there due to Thithies calculations adopted by different sections of Jain. One can  free follow any week as per faith.
Gurudeo explained the purpose of such wide celebration which is being shared with my viewers. Hope it can be useful to all of them.
As per 70th chapter of Aagam- Samwayangsutra Sawastari falls due on 50th day from starting of Chaturmas. This is the basic rule of it.
The Chaturmas ends after 70th days of Swastari. Sawastari always falls due on Shuklapanchmi of every Bhadrapadha month of year.

The reason behind such great importance is being  attached to this day  must be understood. There are  chances of next life fixation (Aayushya Bandh) on this particular day as told by Mahaveerswami.
Hence it is just like examination on this day for components of soul based on past deeds and present state of mind on this particular day.

Original nature of soul is crystal clear like water but with Kashaya such as- Anger, pride, smartness used to cheat and greed, we make it dark and darker and move in opposite direction of salvation.
First seven days are for practice to bring such spoiled soul on it's original track with proper cleaning and form ( From Vibhavdasha to Swabhavdasha ) and last day is giving the test with full preparation.

Now one can ask what difference it makes, since we may take birth only to 1 section out of 4 sections  i.e. Hell, Heaven. Human and Plants/Animals. If you have pure thoughts, pure actions and full faith in Jinawani ( Samkit) while your Aayushya bandh is taking place, you can build Aayushyakarma of category which will have salvation possibility earlier than other  categories. For example "Samyakdrishti Vemanikdeo " ( 1to12 Deolog and Anuttarviman ) category can have possibility of salvation in shorter span than hell or Ordinary heaven. For example after 25th life as Nandan Rajkumar (Human) Mahaveer Bhagwan took birth in 10th Deologa called Pranat and in 27 last life as human, took birth in this Bharatkhetra and got salvation.
As a tradition people visit Sthanak / Temple to hear Antagarhasutra which covers stories of 90 selected souls who got salvation during tenure of  Thitthankar Arishtanemiji to Mahaveerbhagwan.
 We get inspiration from noble souls like Gajsukumalmuni and Arjunmali to face results of Karmas with happy state of soul and pay off the debts of Karmas as quickly as possible by various ways of Jainism to get salvation. Hence Sutra hearing is essential.
So friends be proud of our tradition. Contribute what ever best you can do. One can go for fast, Samaik, Swadhyay, Poshaad, Pachakhan ,Aalochana ( review of wrong doing in a year ),Asking for forgiveness -"Khamatkamna" etc. One must have target not to miss Pratikaman of this day. Whatever you do ,do with best possible human capacity full determination, can help to cut negative Karmas.

JAINISM --WAYS TO OVERCOME FEAR-----!!!

Today's lecture by Gurudeo was very much inspiring to lead a very peaceful life, hence I thought to share it with my readers. There was a question by a devotee that why he is  always surrounded by fear of death and other uncalled for bad dreams. Most of times  he is being disturbed by thoughts of negative contingencies.



Gurudeo shared  his views on the subject covered herewith in brief.
"Friends, We know various qualities of  Mahaveerswami Bhagwan- through Aagams and books on his life. I do not elaborate it here.

His major qualities were as teacher of non-violence,forgiveness and firm believer of equality of various souls.But in my true opinion his most important lesson given to mankind was to live a fearless life. He has not only lectured this doctrine ,but showed it by his personal behavior and reaction to various events during his life.
 Let us examine some of such incidents of his unique braveness--!!.
1- Bite by snake who has poison in his vision------Chandkoshik.-but he taught him with a smile forgetting own pain.
2- Fixing of nails in his ears by owner of cows in jungle.-He  has not uttered a word and suffered the pain.Not given up meditation.


3- Trouble by God from heaven called Sangamdeo, to vouch for Bhagwan's qualities. Bhagwan cared for him and told him that Deo has unnecessarily increased cycles of life and death by troubling. 
4-Partition with his disciples Goshalak and Jamali.
5-Most bitter attempt on his life by Goshalak - After killing and harming 2 Sadhus of Bhagwan called Sunakshtraji +Savanubhutiji .
Goshalak used Tejoleshya ( fire coming out of body ,a tool gained with Tap.). He used the same towards Bhagwan but it returned and seriously injured Goshalak.With attempt on life Bhagwan got fever.
Medicine from Rewatishrawika ( She has built Tirthankara Gotra with this charity) gave him relief. Sinhamuni brought the medical  mixture  termed --Bijoripaak. Rewatiji build Thirthankar Gotra.

6-Bhagwan visited country which were not religious and people troubled him  by hitting stones and haunted by dogs but it all failed to change his determinations as he accepted all trouble with dignity.
7- While he was in meditation in forest under trees many animals like lion,tigers etc. troubled him.They could not create fear to him.

 As explained in Granthas balance of his bad Karmas were equal to all remaining 23 Trinthakars but he never gave up.He used all the best maximum human efforts to get them cleared and getting the final destination of salvation with in a  comparative little life span. These are few unique examples from his life.It can motivate us to conquer fear of death and other adversities.Just think about him.
     What gave him the tremendous courage to remain calm in all situation-- How he fought all odds with smile on his face------- ? .
He could do it, since he believed  in all what he has preached.
Jainism beliefs based on his teachings can give any one  courage. So if you have fear, please note and introspect own self  in mediation.

1-I have not stopped love for body in current life. I have more faith on money,relatives,doctors and medicines.Is it correct practice ---?.
2-I do not believe that no one can harm me expect my Karmas. Why I shall be afraid to pay off  my loans of accumulated Karmas.
3-I do not believe that current life span is already being fixed in last birth and no one is able to alter it. Still I am testing each options.
4-Body is temporary while soul was there, is now and will be there  for all the time to come. I heard it but failed to believe it.
5-I do not believe in life after death and believed this birth as a only birth .With this false assumption, I tried to serve my body to the maximum extent. How can I be immortal when nobody can be---?.
 If you introspect you will find that your faith, actions are all in opposite directions. Now do study of Jainism. meet knowledgeable personalities and review. It can make you to accept facts of life.
      Just have full faith on Lord Mahaveer's  teaching and see how dramatic changes it can bring. It can certainly assist in removing all fears and anxiety. Insecurity is being generated by love for the possession of material things, try to love immortal soul and  ever lasting happy state for it. Mind well fear is a creation of sick mind.
Fear kills the positive inner energy which has great healing power.

 As a reward of birth as human ,one gets mind. We shall care not to misuse it otherwise we may be deprived of it in next lives. It a proven fact that mind causes more diseases than body. So remove all unwanted fears and live a simple life. Lastly I sing two lines for you It is a Gujrathi  Stavan- I heard in my childhood from my Gurudeo. 
 " Mahaveer Pase Ek Dava Che,Ye Ne Tu Aazmaile
    Sacho Sago Mahaveer Janine, Gudla Yena Gaeele " Veerstuti
can help you to pass the bad phase calmly|" Gurudeo concluded.
The session completed but it gave the audiences the ways to live fearlessly. Let us try to practice it ,if we can to best of our ability--!!

JAINISM-SIMPLIFIED THEORY OF KARMA---------------!!!

Current year's Chaturmas is in a full swing. Gurudeo daily conducts Mahaveer College in early morning to impart Jainism training. During the session one devotee stood up and said "Gurudeo ,Karma theory is pillar of Jainism but it is too difficult for a lay man like me to understand, Will you please explain it to us in a most simple manner so that we can understand this important doctrine----------?.
Gurudeo instantly agreed and said  "Yes-of course but to know  it in a better way note following main concepts from the book with you , called 25 Bol and 9 Tatvas. Please take it as  basic homework.
. The organizers provided the books to all of us,which contained brief discussion of  all basic concepts of Jainism summarized here.
1--8. Types of Karmas-Dyanavarniya to Antaray. 4 affecting quality and 4 affecting personality of soul. First category is Ghati-serious.
2--8. Components of soul----Dravaya Atma to Veerya Atama. Differential power of each component of soul.Ref earlier blog-soul.
3-18, Sins from Pranatipaat to Mithyadarshan ( bad deeds ).
4--9 Types of Punnya-Annapunya to Namaskarpunya-(good deeds).
5.-4 Kashay-Krodh (anger),Lobh (greed),Maan (pride) +(cheating).
6-.6 Leshya---Krishnaleshaya to Shuklaleshya. Manner in which action is being done-Aura--sentiments-emotion. ref earlier blog. The Karma theory explained by Gurudeo with above 6 basic elements is being summarized herewith briefly. Hopefully it can serve purpose.
Karma particles (Pudgaals) are every where in Universe. Each soul has one active component called as Upayoga-Atma. It means action done- using mind,body and speech. Just imagine Karma particles as colorless balloons form as per following given image.
Each individual soul puts color in it by his action corresponding to with different emotions and sentiments.One particular Karma may be done by two different souls differently. Those emotions are being defined by above six Leshya. These balloons becomes part of related soul's Kaarman body. It accompany the soul till it is being cleared. Thus our actions attract Karma.A dead body or a piece of wood do not attract Karma.Siddhanhagwan is a living soul but they are free
from action so they do not attach any new Karma, This attachment is being made in following four stages while fixing to soul.
A-Prakritibandh-Type of Karma for which particular action is done.
B- Stitibandh------Lasting period of  particular action's particle.
C- Abhubhagbandh---Consequent experience of similar nature.
D- Pradeshbandh-----Quantity of Karma particles accumulated.
 It.depends how a particular action is being repeated by the soul.
    Second example we can study for a man who applied oil on body
and slept on beach for sun bath.Now with this action sand particles
will get attached to his body and remain- unless they are cleared. 

 Thus Karman body and Tejas body ( body providing heat aura and digestion power ) act as seeds for life and death cycles for soul
When soul is free by these two bodies it gets salvation. It simply
mean that in every life and death , one is being constantly followed by these two bodies and it's fruits and results-mild or severe.
 For example one person murder another individual. Secondly  a patient dies while a Doctor operates him. In both cases the result is a loss of life of the victim or deceased. But the Karma attached to doers differ as per intentions involved in both cases. The departed soul will take revenge differently for similar action and the doers will  be haunted by this Karma till it is being nullified. Doctor may not
be facing bad results as his intentions were to cure the patient.
Gurudeo ended the topic saying that there are so many other points  and dimensions to this vast theory but is sufficient for a beginner to understand it .The karma theory explain Law of nature. It always operates automatically and unknowingly. In a nutshell all action of
positive Karmas give happiness and bring soul near to salvation and negative Karmas bring sufferings and more time and cycles for liberalization. So much depends upon our actions and intentions,
      I left the venue with much satisfaction .I was glad to know that the result of each tiny action has effects of attaching or nullifying the Karmas attached to soul. With it now be more careful for actions

JAINISM--MAXIMUM PERIOD LEFT FOR SALVATION--------------- !!!

Gurudeo arrived in city for current period's Chaturmas which begins on 30th July 2015. Huge devotees were gathered to welcome him. Gurudeo delivered lecture followed by session of the questions and answer based on Jainism. As it deal with Moksha I share for readers.
One devotee asked very useful question. He asked " When I will get salvation." The answer can help many of us to pacify our query for self salvation .Hence I am trying to pen it down with this Blog. For detailed study one has to refer Aagams as  per given references here.

 With usual smile on  his face  respected Gurudeo answered question.
"Only Kevaldhyani can give exact answer of such time frame. But I can tell you the basic guidelines told by Bhagwan Mahveerswamiji through Bhagawatisutra in Shatak 05/03 titled as Aacharyaji and Upadhyaji ki Gati and 08/10 with title Aaradhako ke (True followers --with right knowledge, faith and character) Shesh (balance) Bhav. 
( life and death cycles) ."Aaradhak" means who follow Bhagwan.
Aacharya and Upadhayaji following exact path of Mahaveerswami Bhagwan get salvation in maximum 3 life cycles while the second category referred above get it in maximum cycles numbering 15.
The number consists 7 Bhav in heaven and 8 Bhav as human being.
Now in this period of Avasaparni no one can get salvation from our region called as Bharatkhetra but souls from Mahavidehakhetra can get salvation even now under Twenty Viharmanji Arihant Bhagwan.
In Shatak  03/01 answering query of Guatamswami related to fate of Shakendra Indradeo from heaven stated following stages of getting salvation .In same chapter Bhagwan also asserted Guru Gutamswami that he too is near getting salvation in near future shortly.
 1-First the soul who is Bhavi (eligible for salvation) ends his black period (Krishnapaksh) and enters in white period ( Shuklapaksh). After becoming Shuklapakshi as a rule he gets salvation in Ardha Pudgal Paravartan. All Shuklapakshi souls get salvation at same time. Shuklapaksha is a pre-defined period for each Bhavi soul and can not be changed. Eligibility means Bhavi or Abhaviness is also natural and can not be changed. Bhavi is original nature of a soul.
For example explosiveness of Kerosene is natural .Same is case for coolness of water. One can try to boil water but with passage of time it will definitely cool down. One may keep Kerosene in refrigerator but it will not give up the inherent quality of explosion with the fire.
Thus a soul will be sad even if a sparrow is being little injured while another will not feel sorry even if he is made to kill hundred of such 
innocent ones. That basic difference in soul form the inherent nature.
2-He become Samyakatvi (combination of right----knowledge, faith and character) .This is the first and basic step for salvation ladder.
3-He becomes Paritsansasari ( with balance of countable life and death cycles-maximum 15).Paritta means soul curtailed life cycles. 
4-He become Sulabhbhodi (prompt grasper of Jainism )) and Aaradhak ( believing and acting as per Jinawani) by knowledge gain,
Thus with following above five stages the soul gets salvation.
There are also sixteen basic conditions to fulfill to get salvation---.
Souls fulfilling all16 conditions can only achieve it. The conditions-
1-Only moving (Tras) Bhavi human with five organs and mind ----5.
2-Only Shuklapakshik and Paritsansari with Kshayik ( permanent) Samkit and Yathakyat Charitya ----4.
3-Absence of gender (Avedi), Kashay (akashayi), Leshya (aleshi), Yog ( ayogi) and food (Anaaaharak) ---- 5.
4-Only soul who achieved Kevaldyan and Kevaldarshan ---------2.
The term Arddhapudgalparavartna means life and death serially on each point of half universe (each point of sky -Aakashpradesh).
The answer made me to introspect within my soul to check how far yet I have to walk to achieve the final destination of salvation. I can assume that I am Bhavi and already entered Shuklapaksh zone. One relief point is that Bhagwan has told to Jayantishravika that all Bhavi souls will definitely get salvation at the end. Let us try our maximum

JAINISM -HIDDEN MESSAGE FROM NAVKARMANTRA--------!!!

I got the input of this blog when I happened to attend summer camp for kids related to Jainism and Navkarmantra. I was very keen to attend it-since for me Navkarmantra is most respected, auspicious and holy composition of Jainism being summary of 14 Purva (very very vast Knowledge). My day starts and ends with it like so many Jain and Non Jain brothers and sisters.Let me share the experience.
 Gurudeo explained the meaning of Navkarmantra and told how unique it is since it meant to offer respect to all pure souls without naming anyone. All souls who attained salvation and got themselves liberated has used this tool of Mahamantra to get them liberated.
 One kid around age of five asked Gurudeo can he get salvation if he spent major time of his life chatting only Navkarmantra. With a smile on his face Gurudeo asked him whether he can fill his stomach and pacify his hunger only by chatting food ,food ,food and looking at the plate filled with food. The kid  said no- Sir I have  to actually sit at plate, use my hand, mouth  to quench my hunger by eating.
 That is right and my answer is hidden in your answer Gurudeo told the kid Kid seemed to be partly confused. He looked for explanation.
 Gurudeo further added that Navkarmantra is a stepping stone for salvation and is to be used as guidance for correct behavior .It is a role model provider. It has two messages hidden in it. Let me share
1-- Only positive virtues in a soul are qualified for respect and bowing down our head nothing else matter. Virtues are so precious.
2--These virtues are not only to be respected but to be copied and adopted in one's life to get salvation. We have to live life like them. 
Navakar  is respect offered to great soul classified into five as follow categories. These categories with virtues are given  herewith.
A--Arihant Bhagwan-- Virtues-------  12.
B--Siddha Bhagwan-    Virtues-------   08.
C--Acharyaji--------      Virtues--------  36.
D---Upadhyaji------      Virtues-------- 25.
E---Sadhuji Maharaj-   Virtues--------  27.

                                  Total Virtues------108.


That is the reason that a Mala has 108 Manies ( round pearls of plastic) and 108  figure is treated as a holy number by all of us.
Presently on earth we have last three categories while the 20 Arihant Bhagwan are at Mahavidehakhetra and Siddha Bhagwan are at top of universe known as Siddhasheela. Soon Arihanta will be getting there.
The organizers distributed to kids a booklet containing meaning of Navkarmantra and detailed 108 virtues of Panchparmesthi.
I was immensely happy for kids who have received correct timely
guidance at such a young age. I used to use the mantra verbally so far now .I got the point that it is not enough, I have to bring the virtues of these noble souls in my conduct, character and life to be Jitendriy.
Only then I can gain  real benefit of walking on noble salvation path.
Let us pray to have at least one virtue from all those noble souls -
crystal clear soul of Siddha, wish of welfare of all living souls from Arihanta, care like mother from Aacharya. knowledge from Upadhya and equality from Sadhuji .All virtues are so noble and precious.

JAINISM -FIVE MORE PRINCIPLES FROM BHAGWATISUTRA--------!!!

This time ,when I met the same devotee of last Blog with Aagam diary nearly I grabbed the diary and reproducing it for my Blog readers.Needless to add for clarity one has to refer original Aagam .
1-14/10-Siddha Bhagwan has no body, no speech but they can see and know all of us including all Siddhas. Thus infinite liberated souls over infinite period of time are residing at top of universe and watching us. Similarly Tirthankar Bhagwan.and Kevaliji  both (who attained Kevaldyan but not formed Thirth ) are also seeing us and knowing us. So that we must be careful in doing any misdeed even in most secretive manner. Our actions will be part of Karman body.

2-20/10----Souls in hell and heaven have fixed life span. While all others can have either breakable or non-breakable life span-Called
as ( Sopkramaayushya and Niruprakamaaayusha ). (Note-this is in practical term ,in real sense every body completes period as built and specified by Aayushyabandha of last life to the fraction of it's
seconds specified ).No power on earth can change the details of soul.
There can be a apparent cause which act as a reason to end one's life-as an accident or any other such unexpected event like. On the other hand if the life span is not complete one can be alive in most adverse situation. Any soul cannot leave current life term unless it get expires
3-01/09--Only human being and Panchidriyatirikkha  (animals with five organs ) can take Pachkkhan (vow to limit consumption).
It can be either full or partial known as Sarva-Virati and  partly virati
Deshvirati. Others are Avirati. The three categories are termed as Bal, Balpandit and Pandit. Soul in heaven and hell cannot take Pachkan. It is a privilege to human and some animals category only.

4-07/02-Soul is permanent with reference to Darya (unique  and invisible element acting as reason of life ).While soul it is flexible with reference to birth options in four Gati.--hell. heaven, human and plants including animals. Siddha is a non changeable Gati.

5-09/32-7 various reasons are basis for birth in hell---rise of such Karma, weight of Karma, heaviness of Karma, high density and the weight of Karma, maturity of such negative Karma and resultant consequences of such negative Karma ( Vipak and Falvipak ).
Reasons of birth in other categories are also given in this chapter.
I thanked the devotee and appreciated his efforts for simplified summary and took his leave. Hope readers can increase interest by
reading this brief and may turn to reading original Sutra.
