JAINISM-SILENCE IS GOLD-MOUNVRATA.--!.

Friends today we will study benefits of silence on the eve of "Moun Gyaras". In Jainism to keep silence for a predetermined period is part of "Tap". Today is Migsarsudi Gyaras. Many devotees of Jainism are celebrating this day by keeping "Upwas" with Moun for the full day.

We have studied 25 Bol. A soul carries ten Prans to live life. Organ that helps him to speak is tongue or "Rasnedrya".As a basic rule a soul is deprived of any organ in next birth which he uses wrongly. We see so many unfortunate  cases of  dumbness and blind ones. To preserve energy silence can be a best tool. We learn in school that if speech is silver, silence is gold. Self study can vouch this basic truth.
Jain monks always follow rules for speaking as per "Bhashasamiti".
In daily life we can see much more noises and heated arguments. It can reach to such a ugly end results that can see termination of all of human relations. Divorces, separations from parents can be some of end results. I do not know the truth but as alleged a one line sentence

from Draupadi to Duryodhan was one of the reason for Mahabharat. The modern science measure the noise pollution of big cities. In such a background if we decide to speak minimum needed or decide to keep silence for a pre-decided  time we can feel much more at peace.
Jainism combined fast and keeping silence as Tap so as to practice 2 virtues of Siddha Bhagwan. Those two virtues out of many are being "Anaharak and Abhashi".We know Bhagwan Mahaveer started to give Jinwani Deshna only after 12.5 years after He achieved great Kevaldyan and Kevaldarshan We are aware that experts speak only when asked for opinion. They expresses their view in limited words. Whereas fools or half know ledged people used to shout regularly.
Even if one observe a deep  river  has no voice while a small water flow will be flowing with making more noise. Silence gives power to think before speaking. It adds to deeper thinking and concentration. I know few devotee who don't talk at all for a day in a week by doing "Mounvrata".They keep writing option open to communicate.
Hopefully readers will think about benefits of keeping silence and do the "Mounvrata" to possible extent. It can help later for meditation.
As proved by science our tongue  has no bones but too powerful to harm or heal others. Use of sweet words and precise encouraging words can create a good communication atmosphere. Thus to speak wisely, precisely and only when needed can be our asset. To speak may be comparatively easy but keeping silence is too difficult. Let us see how this tool all of  us can use more efficiently and wisely.

JAI JINENDRA------------!!!--------JAI MAHAVEER-----------!!!.
