JAINISM--KARMA THEORY INTRODUCTION---------!!!

Karma theory is basic of Jainism. Your all actions tiny or bigger and their intensity through mind, speech and body attract the particles of Karmas from all 10 directions of Universe. They attach to one's soul with feelings involved. Their period of continuing with soul depends upon the feeling with which the particular Karma was being built. Good Karmas give you positive things and bad Karmas (sins) gives sufferings in various form. Our action shapes it's good or bad nature.
One cannot attain Salvation until all the Karma-positive or negative are nullified. Interestingly both Karmas cannot be subtracted from one another. They must be accepted in result as is being offered.

The balance of Karmas outstanding at the end of present life are being carried forward with soul to next birth through invisible body
This integral part of body is known as Karman Body ( Sharir ).
Thus a kid enjoying positive things since birth is utilizing his share of good Karmas's opening balance. Karmas are classified into eight categories listed below. Their nature in brief also follows----------.
1-Dnavavarniya-----------Karmas which cover Knowledge.
2-Darshanavarniya------Karmas covering Faith and vision.
3-Mohaniya----Karmas involving love, affection, attachment or hate feelings. This is most difficult among all Karmas to clear and it has maximum period of attachment with soul. It can delay salvation.
4-Antaray----Karmas prohibiting gains, not allowing to get desired results. We built them when we prevent others to do good things.
5-Naam----------Karmas which shape individual body. and structure.
6-Gotra---------------Karmas shaping family background and caste.
7-Vedniya------------------Karmas assuring sorrow or happiness.
8-Ayushaya--------------Karma deciding span of one's present life.

Unless one obtain Kevaldyan i.e. complete knowledge one cannot know timing and nature of Karmas built due to which we are passing through good or bad phase of our current life. If we study Jainism, we can avoid bad Karma at least in current life and prepare self for path of salvation. In Bhagwatisutra 12/05 chapter Bhagwan Pujya Mahaveerswami clearly informed Karma to be the only reason for causing variations of all types for souls. In  Aagam Bhagwati and Uttaradhyan Sutra Bahgwan has elaborated various aspect of Karma theory in detail. Very important to refer for study of Jainism.

Total period of a particular Karma is a sum of Abhadakaal and Bhadakaal. Abhadhakaal means sleeping period. In this period the particular Karmas remain passive and do not rise to give it's results. Bhadhakaal amounts to rise of Karmas and their active period. They rise as per severity used to build them. After giving the total results specified ,they are being dropped from soul .The process is termed as " Nirjara". Before maturity some Karmas can be cleared by Tapsya.
Tolerating Karma's results becomes smoother if one knows Jainism. Thus this important theory tells us effect of all our actions. It warns you for future results which one cannot avoid by all or any means.

We must be thankful to Mahaveer Bhagwan for elaborating this basis and essential theory guiding our lives. It is the basic doctrine
of Jainism shaping our destiny. happiness. sorrow and salvation. This
theory can teach us to remain absent from 18 sins and engage in all

JAINISM---NATURE OF GOD--------!!!

Majority among  all of us carry imaginory image and view of God in ourselves. It is also a fact that all who believe existence of God have not seen HIM in physical terms or face to face basis. Still many of us feel a direct connection with God. The imaginary concept within  
us is being slowly build over years since our childhood. Various 
stories by our parents, visits to holy places, meeting various holy personalities, culture at home and reading related religion literature contribute to shaping of concept of God within us. It is all work of faith and imagination. But it provides life lasting faith to believers.

Nobody is ready to change his own concept till his or her last breath. Different section of society have as a group different theory, opinion and belief related to God. Our faith is mostly being inherited by our
forefathers and cultural background of family and society. Thus the
concept of God provides us a role model for all good virtues and total absenteeism from negative deeds, sin and evil deep in heart. 

Jainism  approves concept of God. But role of it's God is confined only to preaching the path of salvation It does not believe in God's intervention for daily human life. Neither He is planner or destiny writer for one's life. He is absolutely free from love or hate for his disciples or any other living souls. He do not fulfill  any wishes of
his devotees. Neither he punishes any one for wrong doings or sins.
As such clearing concept of God within our self is utmost essential.

He can show you the most right path so that one can walk on this specified path ,attain salvation and become God himself. Jain Gods are in two forms. One who have attained salvation-they are in a pure form of soul known as Siddha. Another one is in human form of Sadhus who have obtained complete correct knowledge and faith  
( Kevaldyan and Kevaldarshan ) known as Kevali. Kevali who have formed Thirtha are called Trithakara Bhagwan.

 All such Kevali will attain salvation once they complete present term of  life, At present on earth Gods are not residing at location  of Temples, Sthanak or any other so called holy places, These things are creation of human to have His presence felt and to offer a kind  of psychological satisfaction and peace in normal or adverse time.
Presently Thitrhankars are twenty in numbers and all are residing in Mahavidehkshetra known as Viharman Bhagwan. Among all of them- Simandarswami,Yugamandirswami  are prominent . They are guiding us for salvation path. Let us pray them for our salvation.

JAINISM--FOUNDERS OF JAIN RELIGION---------------!!!

Present period is known as "AVASARPINI KAAL". The other one is called UTASARPINIKAAL. Both these period  consists of 6 cycles known as Aaras. Both has total period known as twenty Kodakodi Sagaropam. Former is marked with gradually decreasing values in human values and human happiness while later is marked with the gradually increasing values. Present is 5th Aara of Avasarpinikaal.
Shri Rishabhdeo Bhagwan formed Jain religion in current period.

The founders are called Thirthankaras. In present period there were 24 Thrithankaras. Last one i.e.24th Thrithankar was Lord Pujya Shri Mahaveerswami. Presently there is no Thrithankar on this earth. Only Gautamswami. Sudharmaswami and Jambuswami could attain the salvation after Moksha of Mahaveerbhagwan from Bharatkhetra.
Presently there are 20 Thrithankars in another human world known as - "Mahavideha Khetra "called as Viharman Bhagwan.  In entire universe there can be minimum 20 and maximum 160/ 170 number  of Thirthankar Bhagwans as a basic rule at a time.
Interestingly all The Thrithankaras preach same philosophy all the time. The reason behind such uniform teachings- they preach only truth after they attaining complete Kevaldyan and Kevaldarshan.
Immediately on attaining it Bhagwan form "Thirth" having four pillars--Sadhu, Sadhvi, Shrawak and Shrawikaji. The principal main
disciples  of Thirthanker's are known as "Ghandhar" Bhagwan after
attaining Kewaldyan tells "Tripadi" to them. Ghandhar Bhagwan
are too sharp, they compose  Aagams from these three words,
It means nothing new happens, one may seems to end with new
birth bur original substance (Aatmadrava) of living remains forever. 
Bhagwam Mahaveer himself answered to Pujya Gautamswami in Bhagwatisutra 20/08 that his formed "Thirth" will last up to 21000 years. We are fortunate enough to have such a great legacy so let us use it to maximum capacity. We owe a huge debt to this noble soul.

When all Thirthankars teach same basics principles, there can be no deviation in "Jinwani" as they preach only truth as they have seen it in Their "Kewaldyan and "Kewaldarshan".Let us follow their path.

JAINISMCAN -IF SALVATION IS CASTE BASED-----???

Absolutely never. Any one following the path of right ( Samyag ) 
knowledge, right faith and right conduct can attain it. But one has to become Monk or Sadhu by taking Diksha. It means  individual   has to leave the domestic life and engage himself in right path as guided by Mahaveer Bhagwam. Any soul cutting all Karma can attain it.

Presently Jain community is being dominated by Gujrathi, Marwadi and Marathi speaking communities. But Jainism is not a caste based religion. It is a name of life style which ensures care for life of other creatures, treating them at par with soul of self, and believe in simple living and following Five main principles of Jainism are being as---,
Non-violence, Truth, Non-theft, Bramacharya and Aparigraha ( Non-possession) as guided by Mahaveer Bhagwan through "Jinwani".
 Jain means any one  who has conquered organs. Jain has control on 
 organs In Uttaradhyan sutra Bhagwan has told episode from life of 
Harikeshiji Muni. He  was from a lower community but has taken Diksha and became Siddha. One can refer chapter12thHarikeshiy. 
Similarly principle Gandhar of Bhagwan. Gurugautamswami and his two brothers-Agnibhutiji and Vayubhutiji were Bramins from caste. However- they followed Jainism. became monk and got Salvation. Similarly Arjunmali was from gardener community, he also got 
salvation. Thus there is no restrictions on caste. The conduct is more decisive factor to enter the Jainism path. One with Jain by birth may
not be following Jainism to hard core but other with different cast
might have better conduct- this we can see and vouch in daily life, So conduct makes one Jain and not caste
So any one following right path can walk on road of salvation.

JAINISM--PATH LEADING TO SALVATION-------!!!

Path for salvation as suggested by Jainism is combination of--Right knowledge, Right faith and Right conduct. Let us study it serially,

First thing is knowledge. Every living soul has knowledge though wrong or correct, If one believes other knowledge than "Jinwani" it is not correct knowledge. Even if it is correct one, the individual's level differs. Let us count on say 1 to 100 point scale.100 on scale is called "Kevaldyan "means complete and full right knowledge.Pujya  Arihantabhagwan, Siddhabhagwan and Kevalibhagwan posses this knowledge with Kevaldarshan. ( Complete true vision and faith).

 Once you have overcame wrong knowledge, you are moving to correct knowledge. With it your faith termed as "Darshan" becomes correct. With correct faith one start to know Nine Tatva and other important things explained by Mahaveerswami through "Jinawani". Now slowly the soul starts to know- it's existence and it's objects.
Both above steps makes you aware of causes of life and death, You come to know the theory of Karma, it's 8 types, reasons of it's attachment to soul, result of action of mind. speech and body-Yoga. Necessity to nullify all Karmas. You start to detach from domestic life. Slowly moving on correct path as guided by Lord Mahaveer. This is the starting  point. Now the soul is alert for salvation.

Without nullifying all sins and good deeds one can not cut seeds of life and death resulting into salvation. This understanding bound to change conduct, behavior and character. It is called " Charitrya ". With Charitya one start to limit consumption known as "Pachkhan". He also keep fast. Both form  "Tap". One start to take equal care of all living souls. Now he is on correct path as shown by Bhagwan.

Thus blending all above 3 in, life starts  progress on path of liberty  or salvation. Thus the path which brings together right-knowledge
,faith. character and Tap is the way leading to salvation. With the
walk of right combination. the devotee becomes "Paritta Sansari
means who has limited his cycles of life and death. With it he gets
to be known as "Sulabhbodhi"-one who understand Jinwani. Lastly
he becomes "Aaradhak" means whose life is 100% as per orders
of Lord Mahaveer. Now in 3 to 15 lives he will be liberated. He try
his best to take Diksha and become a Jain monk.

JAINISM -LOCATION OF SALVATION----------!!!

All free souls are staying at a location called "SIDDHSHILA" .The place is beyond reach of any human travel. Only free souls can reach there within fraction of seconds. The place is in upper part where our Universe ends. It is known as "ESHATPRAGBHARA" Prithvi, It is of white gold color called as Arjungold. No word can describe it's beauty and pleasantness. All Siddha reside there in eternal peace.
The free souls are in body less shape one being added by other.   There is no problem of space. Just imagine a  open room having    infinite rays of sunlight. There is no limit of rays a room can have.
   In such room sunlight can be every where in spite of quantum.  Similarly the place can accommodate infinite number of  free souls. Remaining all souls can be in all  direction but as a rule "Siddaha "- weight less souls, reside in upper part of universe. They are weight less because there is nil layer of either good or bad Karma. Such free souls have burnt the seeds of rebirth hence ,they will be always at a fixed place, For them there will be no birth needed anymore.

Area of this Prithi is 45 lacs Yojan equal to our Jambudivpa. It is all
above sun, moon ,all planets and Devloga.To be liberated soul from
13th Gunastan the "Sayogi-Kewali" enters the 14th Gunastana, It is
known as "Ayogikewali".In a fraction of second equal to speaking
5 alphabets the soul gets all particles in  concrete shape.It is known
as "Sheleshi" means state as solid as a mountain. Immediately the
soul reaches the uppermost location. It gets the upward direction
due to nil weight of Karma layers. 

The particles of Siddhabhagwan" soul ( Aatmapradesh) remain in a
standing shape in  1/3 size of their immediate preceding human life. 
Since as a follower or believer of principles of Mahaveer Bhagwan ,we all Bhavi soul will find place in this place. Let us hope for the
golden moment when we get Kewaldyan and march to final aim.

JAINISM--REASONS TO AIM FOR SALVATION.

No one in the world can claim ever that he has enjoyed joy and full happiness through out his-or her life. Every happiness is never can be everlasting. Moments of such so called happiness is limited. On the other hand human life is dominated by sorrows and insecurities. 
To name few of such sorrows-poverty, illness, old age health issues
and sufferings, untimely deaths of loved one, fear of death and so on. The list is endless. So if you want to free yourself from it -the only way is salvation. Liberated souls have no body and mind. As a result
when  two main root causes are eliminated, no source of pain exists.
Now what is salvation. Salvation ensures that there is only soul without- body and it's accompanying organs. Body and mind are the two tools causing various forms of sufferings. When one get moksha ,salvation the soul reaches top of universe and remains there forever. There is no reason to take birth on different planets ,each time with different set of parents, relatives and friends. When soul is able to cut off all of the layers of good deeds and bad deeds then only it can get salvation. Liberated souls do not get birth anymore.
Such souls remains there with original virtues of knowledge and faith. Now it is in most pure form and having total peace. Nobody bothers them, Nothing worries them. Absolute enjoying peace.
If one is happy with life he will not aim for salvation. But a thinker who find life is nothing but small moments of happiness associated with lot of anxiety, insecurity, sorrows, and pains will definitely aim for salvation. Daily tensions can make one think if all is worth living 
Jainism preaches ways to attain salvation-Let us learn it gradually through series of small blogs here onward.
