JAINISM--MAXIMUM PERIOD LEFT FOR SALVATION--------------- !!!

Gurudeo arrived in city for current period's Chaturmas which begins on 30th July 2015. Huge devotees were gathered to welcome him. Gurudeo delivered lecture followed by session of the questions and answer based on Jainism. As it deal with Moksha I share for readers.
One devotee asked very useful question. He asked " When I will get salvation." The answer can help many of us to pacify our query for self salvation .Hence I am trying to pen it down with this Blog. For detailed study one has to refer Aagams as  per given references here.

 With usual smile on  his face  respected Gurudeo answered question.
"Only Kevaldhyani can give exact answer of such time frame. But I can tell you the basic guidelines told by Bhagwan Mahveerswamiji through Bhagawatisutra in Shatak 05/03 titled as Aacharyaji and Upadhyaji ki Gati and 08/10 with title Aaradhako ke (True followers --with right knowledge, faith and character) Shesh (balance) Bhav. 

( life and death cycles) ."Aaradhak" means who follow Bhagwan.
Aacharya and Upadhayaji following exact path of Mahaveerswami Bhagwan get salvation in maximum 3 life cycles while the second category referred above get it in maximum cycles numbering 15.

The number consists 7 Bhav in heaven and 8 Bhav as human being.
Now in this period of Avasaparni no one can get salvation from our region called as Bharatkhetra but souls from Mahavidehakhetra can get salvation even now under Twenty Viharmanji Arihant Bhagwan.
In Shatak  03/01 answering query of Guatamswami related to fate of Shakendra Indradeo from heaven stated following stages of getting salvation .In same chapter Bhagwan also asserted Guru Gutamswami that he too is near getting salvation in near future shortly.

 1-First the soul who is Bhavi (eligible for salvation) ends his black period (Krishnapaksh) and enters in white period ( Shuklapaksh). After becoming Shuklapakshi as a rule he gets salvation in Ardha Pudgal Paravartan. All Shuklapakshi souls get salvation at same time. Shuklapaksha is a pre-defined period for each Bhavi soul and can not be changed. Eligibility means Bhavi or Abhaviness is also natural and can not be changed. Bhavi is original nature of a soul.
For example explosiveness of Kerosene is natural .Same is case for coolness of water. One can try to boil water but with passage of time it will definitely cool down. One may keep Kerosene in refrigerator but it will not give up the inherent quality of explosion with the fire.

Thus a soul will be sad even if a sparrow is being little injured while another will not feel sorry even if he is made to kill hundred of such 

innocent ones. That basic difference in soul form the inherent nature.
2-He become Samyakatvi (combination of right----knowledge, faith and character) .This is the first and basic step for salvation ladder.
3-He becomes Paritsansasari ( with balance of countable life and death cycles-maximum 15).Paritta means soul curtailed life cycles. 
4-He become Sulabhbhodi (prompt grasper of Jainism )) and Aaradhak ( believing and acting as per Jinawani) by knowledge gain,
Thus with following above five stages the soul gets salvation.
There are also sixteen basic conditions to fulfill to get salvation---.

Souls fulfilling all16 conditions can only achieve it. The conditions-
1-Only moving (Tras) Bhavi human with five organs and mind ----5.
2-Only Shuklapakshik and Paritsansari with Kshayik ( permanent) Samkit and Yathakyat Charitya ----4.
3-Absence of gender (Avedi), Kashay (akashayi), Leshya (aleshi), Yog ( ayogi) and food (Anaaaharak) ---- 5.
4-Only soul who achieved Kevaldyan and Kevaldarshan ---------2.

The term Arddhapudgalparavartna means life and death serially on each point of half universe (each point of sky -Aakashpradesh).

The answer made me to introspect within my soul to check how far yet I have to walk to achieve the final destination of salvation. I can assume that I am Bhavi and already entered Shuklapaksh zone. One relief point is that Bhagwan has told to Jayantishravika that all Bhavi souls will definitely get salvation at the end. Let us try our maximum

JAINISM -HIDDEN MESSAGE FROM NAVKARMANTRA--------!!!

I got the input of this blog when I happened to attend summer camp for kids related to Jainism and Navkarmantra. I was very keen to attend it-since for me Navkarmantra is most respected, auspicious and holy composition of Jainism being summary of 14 Purva (very very vast Knowledge). My day starts and ends with it like so many Jain and Non Jain brothers and sisters.Let me share the experience.

 Gurudeo explained the meaning of Navkarmantra and told how unique it is since it meant to offer respect to all pure souls without naming anyone. All souls who attained salvation and got themselves liberated has used this tool of Mahamantra to get them liberated.

 One kid around age of five asked Gurudeo can he get salvation if he spent major time of his life chatting only Navkarmantra. With a smile on his face Gurudeo asked him whether he can fill his stomach and pacify his hunger only by chatting food ,food ,food and looking at the plate filled with food. The kid  said no- Sir I have  to actually sit at plate, use my hand, mouth  to quench my hunger by eating.

 That is right and my answer is hidden in your answer Gurudeo told the kid Kid seemed to be partly confused. He looked for explanation.

 Gurudeo further added that Navkarmantra is a stepping stone for salvation and is to be used as guidance for correct behavior .It is a role model provider. It has two messages hidden in it. Let me share
1-- Only positive virtues in a soul are qualified for respect and bowing down our head nothing else matter. Virtues are so precious.
2--These virtues are not only to be respected but to be copied and adopted in one's life to get salvation. We have to live life like them. 
Navakar  is respect offered to great soul classified into five as follow categories. These categories with virtues are given  herewith.

A--Arihant Bhagwan-- Virtues-------  12.
B--Siddha Bhagwan-    Virtues-------   08.
C--Acharyaji--------      Virtues--------  36.
D---Upadhyaji------      Virtues-------- 25.
E---Sadhuji Maharaj-   Virtues--------  27.

                                  Total Virtues------108.

That is the reason that a Mala has 108 Manies ( round pearls of plastic) and 108  figure is treated as a holy number by all of us.
Presently on earth we have last three categories while the 20 Arihant Bhagwan are at Mahavidehakhetra and Siddha Bhagwan are at top of universe known as Siddhasheela. Soon Arihanta will be getting there.
The organizers distributed to kids a booklet containing meaning of Navkarmantra and detailed 108 virtues of Panchparmesthi.

I was immensely happy for kids who have received correct timely
guidance at such a young age. I used to use the mantra verbally so far now .I got the point that it is not enough, I have to bring the virtues of these noble souls in my conduct, character and life to be Jitendriy.

Only then I can gain  real benefit of walking on noble salvation path.
Let us pray to have at least one virtue from all those noble souls -
crystal clear soul of Siddha, wish of welfare of all living souls from Arihanta, care like mother from Aacharya. knowledge from Upadhya and equality from Sadhuji .All virtues are so noble and precious.

JAINISM -FIVE MORE PRINCIPLES FROM BHAGWATISUTRA--------!!!

This time ,when I met the same devotee of last Blog with Aagam diary nearly I grabbed the diary and reproducing it for my Blog readers.Needless to add for clarity one has to refer original Aagam .

1-14/10-Siddha Bhagwan has no body, no speech but they can see and know all of us including all Siddhas. Thus infinite liberated souls over infinite period of time are residing at top of universe and watching us. Similarly Tirthankar Bhagwan.and Kevaliji  both (who attained Kevaldyan but not formed Thirth ) are also seeing us and knowing us. So that we must be careful in doing any misdeed even in most secretive manner. Our actions will be part of Karman body.

2-20/10----Souls in hell and heaven have fixed life span. While all others can have either breakable or non-breakable life span-Called

as ( Sopkramaayushya and Niruprakamaaayusha ). (Note-this is in practical term ,in real sense every body completes period as built and specified by Aayushyabandha of last life to the fraction of it's
seconds specified ).No power on earth can change the details of soul.

There can be a apparent cause which act as a reason to end one's life-as an accident or any other such unexpected event like. On the other hand if the life span is not complete one can be alive in most adverse situation. Any soul cannot leave current life term unless it get expires
3-01/09--Only human being and Panchidriyatirikkha  (animals with five organs ) can take Pachkkhan (vow to limit consumption).
It can be either full or partial known as Sarva-Virati and  partly virati
Deshvirati. Others are Avirati. The three categories are termed as Bal, Balpandit and Pandit. Soul in heaven and hell cannot take Pachkan. It is a privilege to human and some animals category only.

4-07/02-Soul is permanent with reference to Darya (unique  and invisible element acting as reason of life ).While soul it is flexible with reference to birth options in four Gati.--hell. heaven, human and plants including animals. Siddha is a non changeable Gati.

5-09/32-7 various reasons are basis for birth in hell---rise of such Karma, weight of Karma, heaviness of Karma, high density and the weight of Karma, maturity of such negative Karma and resultant consequences of such negative Karma ( Vipak and Falvipak ).
Reasons of birth in other categories are also given in this chapter.

JAINISM-BHAGWATISUTRA 10 MAJOR PRINCIPALS.

While in Upashrya ,I met one elder devotee ( Swadyayee) who was 
regularly attending lectures of Gurudeo during afternoon known as "Wachni "He had a habit to note down summary in diary for Aagam principles for reference. He has put really hard work to maintain it.

I got his diary and reintroducing some extract for my blog readers related to Bhagawatisutra. However for exact clarity reference to original book is most necessary for clear and better understanding.
1-No salvation of souls from all categories is possible without nullifying all sins----( Shatak/Udyeshak-01/3).
2-The Teaching of Jinendrabhagwan is the only Truth and free from any doubts.------------ (Ref. Shatak 01/3--B/S).

3-All souls builds next life in current life without knowing this event. It is built only once during the life based on their conduct in current life. It is being built covering six different components for all souls.
( Ref.B/S-07/06+05/03 ).Jati Gati, time, shape, Pradesh, Anubhag.

4-All souls face and suffer the sorrows, pain and happiness based on their built Karmas at time on particular Karma's rise on due course. 01/2.There is detailed discussion of period of each type of Karma.
5-Total number of souls in Universe is constant-Siddha's category keeps increasing or constant remaining all categories can be of increase/decrease or be constant nature------- 05/08.

6-Souls get heavier with 18 sins and get lighter with absence from it and Pachkhan ( vow)  to follow it.-------01/09
7-Pain follows self actions---There can not be first pain then action---03/03.This is applicable to all categories. We are responsible for it.
8-All Particles/components of soul exists the body at the time of death and goes to new body of new life in it's entirety.---------01/07.

9-All Karmas are done by all particles/components of soul---01/03.
10--All Bhavsiddik ( eligible for getting salvation) souls will get salvation. Bhavsiddik quality of a particular soul is natural and it
cannot be changed by human efforts or any other mean-012/02.
This is told to Jayantishrawika by Mahaveerswami. Bhavi souls are those souls who can cut off wrong faith .All of them will get Moksh.
Bhagwatisutra ( Vyakhya- Pranapti or Vivaha Pranpati) is most holy and respected among 32 Aagams which contains 36000
(approx.) questions covering all sphere of life. Questions asked by GuruGuatamswami ,Other Gandhars and few others and answered by Bhagwan Mahveerswami. One must aim to read it at lease once in a life time to know the secrets of life.

I was glad to have it so that readers can have the general idea of few Jainism principles at a glance. I thanked the devotee with a sense of gratitude and with intention to have it some another time. Hopefully readers can develop interest for this great Aagam "Bhagwatiji".

JAINISM--MOVING BACK TO ORIGINAL FORM OF SOUL------!!!

I attended lecture of Gurudeo after a long gap. But what I heard was an eye opener hence sharing through this blog. Gurudeo asked the listeners what can happen to the water kept in a small mug in outer sunlight for a long time. As you have rightly pointed out it will get evaporated with passage of  due time. It is a natural and known result
Similarly have you analyzed how a kids qualities get changed.? He answered the question himself. The virtues of a kid like innocence,

truth, purity ,forgiveness and smile with passing of time replaced by smartness, greed, fear and logical thinking due to his up bringing , surroundings and education. Basically child know no fear, and all other bad points. We introduce him to such things by story telling.

We as a parent do not know the differential science ( Bhed-Vigdyan) which differentiate body and soul. If we can protect our soul from heat of 18 sins and 8 Karmas, we can preserve the purity of our soul.

Here we forget proper spiritual education Rich kid gets education to safeguard and increase wealth while poor kid gets education to earn money and material pleasure. In the process we chase material things and ignore spiritual needs which only can end misery of living .Soul original virtues are a near match to Siddha Parmatma Samyak Dyan, Darshan and Upyog. We while living life and earning money moves towards wrong qualities and spoil purity of our soul unknowingly.

Out of eight souls--every body have Dravaatama( unique invisible element allowing continuation of current life )Darshanatama(Faith) and Uapayogatama (Utilization power of organs and mind) Remaining five souls namely--Kashay (greed, self respect,anger and cheating),Yog(actual use of mind, speech and body),knowledge, character, Virya  Atama ( utilization of maximum human capacity) can be increased, decreased or nullified with positive human efforts.
Only one soul component i.e. Kashay is negative. If we use all other components positively. we can keep original virtues of a kid and self intact. It can help us early in reaching salvation our last destination.
Mahaveer Bhagwan with higher human capacity conquered all evils of soul that is the reason, he could forgive snake Chandkoshik and his own student Goshalak who made hard attempts on his life. 
Thus if can lit six components of soul in positive and correct ways, following Jainism we can march on the path of salvation

I regretted so many lectures of Gurudeo missed by me, I missed such a simple way to introspective our own soul and it's unlimited powers.
He hinted the great task of cleaning soul having so many layers of past births sins and wrong knowledge. The prime task is to bring soul to original state from darkness to light as done by Pujya Arjunmali.
 Let us move soul to (Swabhava) from changed one (Vibhava).

JAINISM-LIFE OF MAHAVEER BHAGWAN----!!!

"If the world can follow His teaching ,there can be heaven on earth"  I was listening to speaker during eight days celebration of Mahaveer Jayanti following due on 2nd April 2015.Since it sounded interesting and based on study, I continued listening carefully. The speech  being summarized on following lines. For blog readers it can be interesting

The period of this great soul was B.C.527 To B.C.599. He took birth in Kundalpur with Lord Siddarth and Queen Trishalamata as parents on Chaitra Shukla Teras .He got salvation in Pawapuri on day Kartik Amayasya around age of approximate 72 years. Till his last breath he was delivering lecture on 36th chapter of Sutra " Uttardyansutra."'

He obtained special full knowledge known as 'Kevaldyan" which enable to know all things for past, present and future. It is result of his vigorous Tap and mediation. He guided mankind through it to remove their sufferings and achieve salvation following his teaching.

 This great soul is being remembered even today not for his physical strength or wealth or power but for his conquering evils of soul such as love, hate, lack of true knowledge and others similar one. The three most important principle he laid down for entire mankind  are
Non-violence, Anekantwad (multi opinions) and simple living based on Ahinsa, His other principles are-Truth, Non-theft, Bramacharya and Non-possession. It can be used as tools to control desires of soul. He showed the correct path to mankind with out any self interest since he is Vitraagi- ( No love or hate) who cut off Mohniya karma.

 Non-violence means not to harm any living soul by mind, body and speech. Anekantwad means there can be more ways of believing  and expressing the truth since human beings are not capable of knowing full truth all the time. It values all opinions to avoid rising conflicts..
It implies that we shall respect views of others though may not be exactly matching with our own perceptions. It teaches the theory of coexistence. This principle is very much needed to ensure our own existence in current boiling time  as chaos depicted in image given.

If we look at the world  and observe so many wars are going on the basis of faith, regions, territory with a motive to establish self superiority. We refuse to believe entire human race to be of one category. We also refuse the right of every one to live his life on his
own terms. We want every one to be molded in our own model.
What I say is the only and only truth is current wrong philosophy, 

Territory disputes are  apparent cause while dumping of weapons, eye on natural resources, expanding empire and ego are the hidden reasons. If we study history of any particular border over a period of 500 years, it  keep changing with earth- quakes ,land sliding ,volcano ,sea-storm. cloud busting and so many other natural calamities. So many disputes can be solved with  understanding but we do not like to listen the views which is different from own thinking, view and
version. That is the root cause of current unrest seen every where.

  It results into non violence and disturb peace of the entire world. It is the fact that if all nations stop military weapons spending for a year entire poverty of the world can be removed, I do not think an expert is required to back this fact. The cut throat competition to stay ahead of others in form of military strength is consuming large part of earnings of hard work of human forces. It needs a urgent thought.

It may be too late when the human realizes that it can live with harmony only with path shown by Lord Mahaveera or else can continue to walk on path of self destruction with chaos and much sacrifice of number of innocent human lives on daily routine basis.
We are fortunate enough to have this immortal light spread by the great soul for the benefit of entire living ones. We can not afford to miss it even though we may follow different faiths of various branch.
At the end I congratulated the speaker for his contribution to revisit  thediscover the teachings of Lord Mahaveer. Time will tell if it has made the impact or else life goes on as it is-------------!!!.
