JAINISM----INDIA AND U.S.A. DIFFERENCES----------!!!.

I happened to meet my relative after a gap of three months. She returned from U.S after completing her assignment over there. I casually asked her how was the trip--how were the people and what difference she found if compared to our beloved country India.
So far I avoided to cover personal things in this blog. Here I am sharing her views  to account for good things of human behavior.

Her trip was fantastic She found the people very awesome. One quality she liked about them was their equality towards all human beings. She told me that those people are good with every one. Once you have eye contact with them they will definitely respond with a smile .The attitude less behavior in spite of achievement is a special feature of the people. The personal attachment might be less but they respect every individual. It is an encouraging begin once you meet.
In our country we search for various common link in form of family,
friend ,relative, gender, caste, location, business connections, city.

state etc.to respond. If there is no common link ,we behave with them as a man from another planet. Here we fear marketing trap and cheating so we restrain ourselves from establishing new connections.
Here there is too much attachment if the relations are backed by a common link. Such deep attachment causes building Mahamohniya.

Karmas. To adhere to relations we may commit sins like favoritism, cheating. undue preferences, denying others legitimate rights etc. All these causes more sins for us. People over there are some what individualist busy in work, money ,new ideas and self comfort and enjoyment. If  they have a spirituality connection  and get tips from Jainism ,they can work better for salvation-she felt. No doubt this her first impression and short span of her stay can not bring all good things immediately.

Second thing she liked for them was manners and high regards for women. It is evident in road crossing, during travelling, assistance to pick up your luggage, opening doors and so on. It's nice to adopt it. 
Thirdly they are very much well mannered and law binding humans. Following Law and order due to fear of law forcing agency is not evident any where. That can be reason of  comparatively less deaths in road accidents and less traffic jams. The people are very fond of

democracy and loves individual liberty. They do not waste food in Restaurants, balance food  being taken as parcel to home.     Only thing she disliked was free license for weapons and it's probable misuse. Secondly self love may cause more mental tensions and make one prone to problems of aloofness. Thirdly commodities rates are comparative costly it is okay as compared to earning level. Medical treatment is too costly unless backed by insurance coverage.
She has limitations to judge the political pattern and Government policies since she is too young for the subject. But it is the people who builds the nation and she appreciated them. other thing big roads, skyscraper, good infrastructure came as a result of economy  of  the developed status of country. But for her she missed Jainism culture existence. No Sadhus majority of non vegetarians. This is the only reason she do not wish to settle there in spite of opportunities

I ended the topic saying let us exchange good qualities from them and make our country advance in equality and manners by offering some spiritual teachings in return. Let us give the exchange a try.

JAINISM-----CLOSING 18 SINS ACCOUNT-----!!!

Some of us might be anxious to know what is  fate of  attached sins?. Will they stay with human soul for ever, or there can be a time when  all sins account can be closed and nil sin status can be obtained by us in future.--? Let us examine it with reference to Aagam Bhagwatiji.

Sins are as a river continue to flow unless get itself mixed to ocean.

To similar query by Guru Guatamswami ,Mahaveer Bhagwan has provided answer in 26th Bandhi Shatak of Bhagwatisutra, which I share briefly herewith for viewers of this blog for clarification.

Bhagwan has stated classes of soul and sins done by soul as follow-
1-Committed sin, committing sins and will continue to commit sins. Y+Y+Y. For such souls, there is no closing of sins account.
2-Committed sins. committing sins but will not commit sins--------.
Y+Y+N. Soon they will realize mistake and will correct it.
3-Committed sins, not committing sins but will commit sins--------.
Y+N+Y. It happens if the soul gave up correct faith in sometime---.
4-Committed sins, not committing sins  and will not commit sin----.
Y+N+N. Such souls are in at present in last phase to obtain salvation.
Thus we can see that committed sins is common for all souls. There is not a single soul who has not committed sins or no sin history.

Thus even all liberated souls have history of sins. With Nirjara they, 

(cutting off Karma )freed themselves from it forever and liberated.
Now let us see bifurcation of all above four categories group wise.
A. Abhavi souls ( Not eligible for salvation) belongs to first category. Unfortunately nature of their souls do not never approve Jainism. 
B. Souls without Leshaya who are in Ayogi state ( No change in status by transaction by mind. body and speech) falls in this fourth category. Soon they will get liberated by reaching Siddasheela.

C. Bhagwan has provided 47 sub section of main 11 sections for all souls and discussed the changes in above four classes. The main 11 sections are related to soul, Leshaya, Pakshik, faith, absence of the knowledge, with Dyan, Sadnya, gender, Kashay, Yog and utilization 
Humans fall in all 47 categories as  given on following lines of blog.

1-Aleshi,Kevaldyani and Ayogi-------They all have only forth option.
2-Mixed faith, No gender ,No-Kashayi- They -third and forth option.
3-Correct faith. correct knowledge and Asadnni--first ,third and 4 th.
4-Krishnapakshik--- first and third options.
5-Balance all 33 sub sections can have all options as detailed in Sutra

Thus with our Purushartha ( Maximum utilization of human capacity ,we can reach to fourth options. For deep understanding one needs to visit said chapter of Bhagwatisutra. It can assure that even with bad past history we can hope for bright future of clean slate as envisaged for forth option. As the case of  Shri Arjun Mali of Antagarh Sutra.

Sins and Karma are like a flow of river. New water is added, old

drops are being left and the cycles goes until the river get herself
 mixed with ocean. With hope and deep determination, let us start the mission of complete closing of sin account. Good luck best wishes-!.

JAINISM-- PRAYER TO ARIHANT AND SIDDHA BHAGWAN------------!!!

Just like waves in sea -the numbers of prayers -addressed to God is beyond human counting and can be termed as infinite. Results given depend upon the feeling with it was made. With reading of Aagams, lately I realized that so far I failed to make proper prayer to Pujya Mahaveerswami ( Siddha ) and Simandharswami (Arihantdeo) . So far I prayed for body rather than soul. Herewith I just dare to pen down the unsung prayer from my end. One can make it in his name if found to have worth in real term for uplifting soul towards salvation .

O Lord----!!! Please offer me shelter of your wings. With layers of ignorance for centuries and numerous cycles of life and death my soul could not find ways to salvation. I took shelters of other Gods for domestic and physical happiness but failed miserably to attain true happiness. I regret my action and loss of precious huge time.

Now please free me from all wrong beliefs and faiths. Even in my dreams, I shall not believe a word other than Jinwani. For all next cycles please see that I get only Jainism as my religion. Till now I desired and prayed for all material things and relationships. with your teachings I came to the conclusion that they are not permanent and brings more sorrows than happiness. Now I have decided to go only for permanent happiness Please help me to win Mohniyakarma.

 Of late, I realized that only the trio of correct knowledge, faith and character is the only tool for cuttings seeds of life and death cycles,
Please keep this faith of mine as intact for ever and be generous enough to grant it to me in spite of my all weaknesses and numerous flaws. I am sorry for late realization of truth told by you long ago .

 

In current life let Jinwani be my only mentor and guardian which picks of my finger in testing time leading a fearless life, Let your teachings of Karma and non violence be my torch while walking on mysterious path of life. Let me fear and keep away from eighteen sins. Please ensure that till last breathe of mine my faith in your path does not get shattered. Allow me to treat all living souls at par with my soul. Please give me enough strength to keep away from 18 sins.4 Kashays and 25 wrong beliefs. I am ashamed for not giving it earlier .I know you are too kind with big heart to forgive me for it.

If you offer me more courage to give up domestic life and become monk by taking Diksha -that can be a  true great achievement for me.
Lastly please allow me to take my last breathe following Santhara Vrata with clean heart, Let my soul forgive all my so called enemy. I seek forgiveness from all living ones whom I troubled knowingly or unknowingly. I owe a huge debts to them  and seek forgiveness.

With your name and Nankarmantra on tips of my tongue, I shall take last breath. Please allow me to add last request which shall allow me worshiping you in even state of mind and crystal clear soul. With accumulation of good deeds and Nirjara let me have next birth in in Vemanikdeo so that I can visit you in Mahavidehakhetra and can take your Darshan and be at your feet to hear Jinwani.

I know from my bottom of heart that you are kind enough to grant my this prayer uttered in silence since you are known to be ocean

of mercy and kindness and can hear words not spoken in loud.

Oh---Parmatma, you are a ocean of countless virtues and mercies, Be kind enough to listen to prayer of a tiny soul like me (Hinaatma).

Please help me to cut off all my Karmas and end cycles of lives.

JAINISM---TOWERING PERSONALITY OF BHAGWAN MAHAVEER---------!!!.

Jainism believes that a devotee can achieve same status of his Idol once he gets salvation-as  Guru Gautamswami got same status of Mahaveerswami whom he worshiped whole heartily for whole life.
It must be true but seems almost difficult. If we compare ourselves

with giant personality of Mahaveerswami , we really feel ashamed.

It is just like comparing an ant with lion, a drop of water with ocean and a sparrow with an eagle. I have same feeling of a kid on street looking to a man who reached the highest peak of Mount Everest. 
Still I dare to make comparison since with out it one cannot know the shortcomings lying within us which needs  many instant correction. 
I used one more me to represent ego coupled with my personality.
1-He was full of forgiveness as evident from story of Chandkoushik snake. While it is difficult for me to forgive even persons who have insulted me long back in my childhood. This is my weakness.

2--He conquered all negative points known as Kashay. I am always  and constantly engaged in anger, self respect. cheating and greed for living and non living. Indeed so many lives  I need to correct it.

3-He exhibited extra ordinary tolerance when hot iron rod was put into his ears. I rush to doctors with a small pinch of a pin or small increase in blood pressure. I lack fraction of his tolerance capacity,

4-- He was a born prince but left all comforts to become a monk. I get disturbed even I get late by an hour to reach home. I am fond off adding more comforts to my living. I go restless if my air conditioner stop working. I am actually became a slave of all material things.
5- Tap ( fast )--He engaged himself in rigorous Tap, fast and deep mediation for a period of twelve and a half year . I eagerly waits for  the dawn to break my one day fast. I have yet to conquer my organs .

6-He got complete true knowledge Kevaldyan at the end of his Tap by conquering four Karmas. Detailed  Karma winning  as follow---.
Mohniya  (free from love and hate).Darshanavarniya ( covering faith), Dynavarniya (covering knowledge ) and Antaray ( prohibitory What to say about my knowledge, I failed to remember eight Karmas serially. But I pretend to know every thing below the Sun. Complete knowledge of Bhagwan is evident from  through 32 Aaagams.

7-He was well  wisher of all living and non living creatures of the Universe and preached live and let live theory .I am just unable to look beyond my limited family and friend circle. I do not care to mourn the passengers who lost their lives in a plane crash. He taught non violence to world which  has become a basic conditions for co-survival and existence of human race. I keep on plucking flowers, eating roots and walking without care breaking Ahinsa principle.

8-He has only one faith that is known as Samyagdristi while I used to change my faiths and related Gods to suit my sufferings in a hurry to close my problems and sorrows. I am a true business man ,donate to temples for sake of my name and asking some thing in return.

9-He is now in original state of a crystal clear soul known as great Swabhavdasha governed by true knowledge and true faith. Still all negative points of soul are dominating me making me victim of Vibhavdasha. Let me pray to come out of it as erarly as possible.
10-Before taking Diksha he used to donate crores of gold coins as a  charity while I failed to spare a small sum of Rupees ten thousand in a year. I am constantly busy in savings for my next generations overlooking needs of people surrounding me. Too much possession.

The list can go on endlessly. But there is no cause of nervousness I use to tell myself. This is the beginning and if the path selected is correct as guided by Jainism sooner or later all Bhavi souls will get the same status as achieved by Mahaveer Bhagwan. But it is always better to compare you with milestones so that we can know how much road is still remained to be crossed. A long road lying ahead to be passed. Let me pray to Him to grant me wisdom for salvation.

JAINISM- BASICS TO START JAINISM STUDY------------!!!

I just asked my friend if he has visited my blog based on Jainism Mokhshasadhana. He replied yes once but could not visit it again. On my perusal he clarified the reasons behind it. He told no doubt your efforts are good but for a lay man like me it is too difficult to digest. Can you write some minimum requirements  to understand Jainism and salvation ?I wish to know about it and it's founder in more detail

I told him that it is not so difficult as he thinks. But no doubt I will try for simpler things. Subsequently I gave it a thought and came across two beautiful posts on Jainism. Thought to be good to share. 
I decided to share it with my viewers. Three basic things one shall know to understand Jainism and path of salvation can be as follow.
1-Meaning of Navkarmantra.
2-Nine Tatvas -particularly difference in living and non living soul and other seven components.
3-Various good intentions ( 12 Bhavna) for purification of soul.
 All related posts are reproduced -here for easy reference.

 I hope my friend and other beginners can have basic guidelines for salvation path with this blog. Once curiosity arises to know the nine Tatvas, virtues of Siddha, Arihant Bhagwan ,Sadhuji ( monk) and good intentions and Jainism, it automatically motivate the soul to have further study and aim for salvation to end sufferings of soul. 
Slowly the soul will opt for study of Jainism based on "Aagams".

Sooner the secrets of life and death will start to be unfolded before him. With guidance from Gurudeo and experts true meaning of life and purpose of living life will be revealed. Can be much of interest.
So start with small basics, definitely one can know and understand Jinwani in more better and detailed ways in a short time frame.

Such study can lead to absenteeism from sin, engagement in good and religious activities. Finally the travel on path of salvation can start. This can be a good beginning for a noble travel to Moksha.

CHATURMAS---A FACT AGAINST MATHEMATICS---------!!!

 Gurudeo has entered our city for Chaturmas ( Holy four months). He told a very interested story in his first welcome lecture. Story was related to Akbar Badshah ( King ) and Birbal-his most intelligent minister. Once in the Rajdarbar ( people's assembly hall)
He put a puzzle to be answered for a handsome reward. He asked the gathering that what is the balance if we subtract four from twelve- ?

Gathered people were surprised with the question. It was too simple mathematics calculation. Everybody thought the answer to be eight. But no body was dared to answer it since in case of wrong answer the penalty was heavy. Around half an hour passed and there was a pin drop silence. People has answer but avoiding to speak by fear.
 Every body was looking downwards. Lastly King turned to Birbal- his most intelligent assistant and asked him for the answer. Most

humbly Birbal said "Sir answer is a zero. With a smile on his face King asked him to explain his answer to the gathered masses.
 Birbal replied------"Sir it is so simple. If we subtract four months of rainy season from the whole year of twelve months, there will be nothing left out in the world because water is life and with out it there can be no life, no harvest, no food, nothing will be left on earth, Every one agreed for the answer.The answer seemed to be ealistic.
Needless to say that King got very much impressed by Birbal's vision and correct answer, he hugged him and rewarded with honor.
Same is case with mankind. If we subtract faith and religious activities from our life ,then there will be zero left in life.

To care that we can complete the backlog- every major religions have their peak religious activities planned in period of monsoon . Chaturmas of Jain is aimed at it.This image explain the details

Similarly Ramzan of Muslims, Bhagwat of Hindus ,X-mas of Christians-almost all major religion have granted this second half the more weight age for spiritual activities. This is a harvesting time for souls. No doubt one shall be engaged in spiritual things for whole of the year. But for a common layman who is preoccupied with living activities our forefathers have set this period.
In this period of four months one can see dramatic change in people's habits majority of people stay away from non-vegetarian
 food, alcohol, roots. eggs etc. Try to have food before sunset etc. There is scientific reason also for such change. In rainy season the digestive system requires low calorie diet for easy digestion. 
Secondly with rains the plants .seeds starts growing so staying at one place ensures their safety. Jain monks stay at one place only for four months of Chaturmas. The reason being to protect tiny insect's life.

Many devotees celebrates Chaturmas with attending lecturers, doing Samaik and various Tap (fast from one day to 30 days or more days).
This Chaturmas starts from 12-07-2014.Let us utilize it maximum  for cleaning of our souls. Best of luck for the mission.
