DHARMA PRABHAVANA----JAINISM-----------!!!

Dharma Prabhavana means explaining Jainism to others, relatives and friends and helping them to follow it. In Antagarhasutra Shri Lord
Bhagwan Mahaveer quoted example of Lord Shrikrishna for same.
Shrikrishna came to know, how Dwarkanagari will come to end by Dwipayanrushi's anger and conflicts between Yadavs and alcohol.  Then Shrikrishna made public announcement that he will take total responsibility for all who want to take Diksha ( becoming monk and leaving  home). It is a classic and best example of Dharmaprbhavna.
With it, the lord built Trithankara Gotra and will be Thirthankara, once he completes present term. This type of Gotra's building is possible only while one is human being. It is a motivational case.
Thus one lamp can light thousands of lamps and can help others to remove the darkness of innocence for correct knowledge and faith,
We have limitations, may not to able do the things on such a large scale but we can definitely spread the knowledge, I know so many Shrawaks who go to remote villages in Paryushan and spread basic Jainism since Sadhus can not cover whole India due to limited in number. If you know Ptratikaman and 25 Bol you can also take such missions. Teaching ways of life to others based on Jainism can give you immense inner satisfaction. It is a kind of Dharprabhavana.

By great fortune, we got Jainism as our religion. It is our prime job to get acquainted with it and spread  knowledge with in our circle. One Jain Doctor familiar to me always make it a point to explain disadvantages of non-vegetarian food, drink. eggs to his patients.
In newspaper, we read so many great soul fighting for Goraksha (saving cows and other animals),ban on slaughter houses and meat export. What drive them for such mission  ?. Let us give a thought.

We can try to convince and if all goes positively ,it can change one's life. There is no need for marketing since challenge to faith is not easily accepted but one can definitely give it a try. Jainism does not believe in conversion We can first start to bring it to our own family members into practice of Jainism. We give them all possible help to spend time for it. It can definitely a good start and can offer peace.

I know so many Jain not knowing any thing except Navkarmantra.  It's a real tragedy. We must undertake to educate them for basics of Jainism. No human knows during these efforts when one can be awarded Thirthankar Gotra by doctrine of Karma. theory A small instruction to maid servant or Gardner to use minimum water is also Dharmaprabhawana. So many small occasions can be used for it.

I happened to know one Jain family in U.S. They are engaged in restaurant business being franchise of well known brand serving the vegetarian and non vegetarian food combined. I discussed with them if it is worth to ignore Bhagwan's teaching for earning money. They felt sorry and promised to rethink it. I do not know what was it's outcome subsequently. But one must be made aware of his mistakes.
So let us try it to a possible extent. We shall come out of differences with in us, awarded by different branches of beliefs of Jainism. But definitely, we can spread common and undisputed teachings of Shri
Lord Mahaveera  like Non -Violence and Nav-Tatva to our fellow brothers and sisters. It can make our life worthy living for a cause..
One may not have resources to build hospitals or schools but one
can definitely start "Jain Pathshala" to impart Jainism knowledge to
kids. The future generation can know the teachings of our Bhagwan
Mahaveer and definitely can put them on salvation path. In Derasar or Sthanak eating places we one can use water filters and sticky note

saying "Namo Siddanam".A small thing can help for" Pachkhan. In your area if a devotee Shawak is old and desirous of taking Santara one can help to listen "Jinwani" and Aaloyana. Your efforts can help him to have good sentiments at the last hours or time of departure.

JAINISM - 4-THIRTS-DUTY TOWARDS EACH OTHER---------------!!!

On attaining Kevaldyana Bhagwan Mahaveerswami formed present Thirth with four components Sadhu,Sadhvi,Shravak and Shravika. This Thirth will last for 21000 years. Bhagwan asked each one to take care of other one. Bhagwan advocated two ways of following His teaching- One is Sadhudharma (Anagar Dharma) and second one is Shravakdarma (Aagardarma) . Each one is free to follow most suited path as per choice without any compulsion to get Moksha.

Aagar means some liberty to suit individual capacity. No doubt the Sadhumarg brings you more closer to salvation than Shravakdharma. But after it's selection, one must be particular enough to follow the prescribed code of conduct for such selected path shown by Pujya Bhagwan Mahaveer. A slight deviation is not allowed for anybody.

-
A-Duties of Sadhus-------- They become monk for freedom of self soul. Beside that they have been entrusted with the work to show path of Bhagwan to all devotees without any bias or preferences,
 B-Duties of Shravaks.

1-Attempt for self salvation--This is the major task of Shravaks. They shall attend lectures of Sadhus, understand, discuss and clear doubts if any and follow the path of Bhagwan Mahaveer.
2-Responsibility towards Sadhus--- Bhagwan termed Shravak and Shravika as "Ammapiyro" i.e.mother and father of Sadhu. On taking Diksha- Sadhu leaves family, home, town and relatives has stepped towards unspecified, unknown destination for Atmasadhna.
To avoid closeness which may give birth to love and affection, Sadhu can not stay at a place for more than specified period as specified by Lord Mahaveer through Aagam. It a well thought order of Bhagwan.
They keep moving just as moving water is cleaner than saturated one. On their next journey Shravaks have responsibility to ensure prescribed space, food and water and clothes for them. They shall accompany them in Gochari  (asking for food and clothes ) and Vihar  ( travel ) with all possible capacity and care for their safety.
-3- Care-- In our domestic life if just we catch fever due to cold or something else, there is  a large gathering of our well wishers and doctors, everybody is busy in offering best available solution. But Sadhus have disconnected all such relations. So Sharavak has to take care as if they are our own children, Medical emergency may arise due to accidents or other reasons. In such circumstances we have to take all maximum possible best care. Everyone knows that Sadhus do not keep currency notes, if we have Medical store or hospital free service is a must. We are fortunate to have the great  opportunity to serve these great souls on their way to salvation.
4-Watch the conduct---   Shravks have been entrusted with the task of watching and warning Sadhus for their exact conduct as specified by Bhagwan, When the initial enthusiasm of Diksha get reduced, few Sadhu may find it difficult to follow path of Bhagwan exactly on same line vigorously. The initial spirit get exhausted as time passes.
Then with own convenience and interpretation they find out some liberal ways. In such cases Shravak must bring, it to their notice that this is not what Bhagwan has prescribed. Please do not take yourself to  path of Kusadhu category and keep distance from money.banking ,opposite sex and popular ways of fame and unwarranted  subjects like telling other philosophy, astrology and fund raising.
Many times in a blind faith and respect for dress, we make our self victim of Personification. What ever a particular Sadhu does we take it for granted and allow him to carry on. But this way we are harming teaching of Bhagwan. A soldier in uniform must be different from civilian in any case. He must ensure best conduct in all circumstance
Thus Sadhu shows the salvation path to Shravak and Shravak help sadhu to keep his Sayaam intact--This is the harmony between two expected by Mahveer Bhagwan.Let us do that it is in mutual interest.
5-Helping co-brothers-One must help other Shrawaks to  progress
in religious activities. Grasping level differs for all. So we must
spread Jainism knowledge and help others to gain from it.If one is
financially sound ,he shall see how he can reduce miseries of co-
brothers in society. If one helps other to do religious activities,we
are indirectly serving Bhagwan Mahaveer---!!!-Let us give it a try.

SAMAIK-6-REMEMBERING SWADHYA-----------!!!

Bhagwan Mahaveer swami in Bhagwati Sutra told firstGandhar Guru Guatamswami that out of 4 gems i.e. knowledge, faith, conduct and Tap---only knowledge can accompany the soul in next two or three  births. Balance three may or may not follow the soul. Swadhya doing means self study through 32 Aagams for soul for future births also.
What ever we learn in this present life can guide us in next births.
In Deologa also we shall not forget our main purpose of salvation. Sugurudeo repeated the fact to me and asked me to remember some Swadhya. I rejected it at first instance with belief that how one can remember it. Then I happened to meet some Sadhvijiji .They can orally remembering all 32 Aagams. I was too surprised knowing it.
I also happened to meet some Shravikas who are knowing 3 Aagams completly i.e. Dashvekalik.Uttaradyan and Nandisutra. My doubts are cleared. I felt it may be difficult but not impossible. Let us try for it.

Gurudeo told me that there is no limits, human can not do with his determination. The benefit of remembering is that when ever we are not at home, we can do the Swadhya with out help of books. Even in night or early morning one can do it without electricity. With much efforts I could learn only Pucchisunam  or Veerstuti of Bhagwan.
Guru asked me to learn two lines per day fully. It is 58 lines took 3 months time for me. But it created life long asset for me. I am very thankful for Gurudeo for such precious gift----------!!!
If one decide to go for it, will be indeed a good move. In case one has memory problem due to age factor etc. one can aim at least to learn following two Swadhya. They are short  and easy to learn.
1-Puchhisunam-composed by Siddha Bhagwan Sudharmaswami in praise of Mahaveer Bhagwan, given in 6th chapter of Sutrakrutang Aagam. It describes virtues of Veer Bhagwan Mahaveerswami.
2-Namipavajja-- It is questions and answer between Shakendra and Namirajrushi. Indra wanted to test faith of Namirajrushi for Jainism. Reply given are so truth and unique. Once, one must read it. It is available in Nine th chapter of Aagam-- Uttaradhyana Sutra.
Different Gatha  and Nirjara and Punya for Swadhya is as follow.
Navkarmantra-2,Loggas-5,Namothunam-7 .Puchhisunam-----40.
With Swadhya we can cut knowledge covering Karma They are important so as to show the right path for salvation. So friends just start learning it,for purification of soul. Nothing can match the
greatness of Jinwani in this universe. It is nothing but a direct and
true connection with Vitraagprabhu Shri Mahaveerswami Bhagwan.

SAMAIK-5-SOME STAVANS ( POEMS )---------------------!!!

Jain literature is rich with so many prayers popularly known as Stavans. To create interest in children for Jainism, it plays a very important role. To end Samaik with prayer is a tradition. If one get consult senior family members they can guide the particular singing tune for given poem. For kind reference of readers some known prayers are added in this blog. Hopefully can add delight to devotee

Still there are other very good prayers like--------------------- !!
1-Jai bolo Mahaveerswami ki, Ghat Ghat ke Antaryamiki--- !!
2-Tumse lagi lagan,Lelo Apni Sharan--Paras Pyara-----------!!
3- Anand Mangal Karu Aarti,Sant charan ki seva--------------!!
4-Sata kijoji Shri Shantinath Prabhu.Sihvasukh dijoji---------!!
5-Gurudeo Thumhe Namaskar Bar Bar Hai---------------------!!
6-Tame man mukine barshya--------------------------------------!!
7-Jiski pratima itni sunder vo kitna sunder hoga----------------!!
8-Samro mantra bhalo Navkar------------------------------------!!
9-Yeh hai pawan bhumi yaha bar bar aana-----------------------!!
10-Mhare aagnie aayoda pacha mat jao Mahaveer--------------!!
11.-Lakhoko Par Lagaya Hai,Bhagwan Tumhari Wanine-------!!.
The list is endless .thanks is due to composers for such composition.
Learning and singing such prayers are full of inner joy, peace and happiness. Self singing is much happier than listening to recorded one. One can start combine prayer with family members so that it can sow the seeds of Jainism in younger generation also. One has to

take care ,not to sing it with musical instruments. It involves huge
violence of souls of air. So add it to personal Samaik. Hope devotee
will definitely add prayer to their Samaik to get missing inner peace.

SAMAIK-4-INTRODUCTION TO SWADHYA.---------!!!

Bhagawan Mahaveer has told two types of Tap. One is done with body known as Baayantar (outer) Tap. Second one is internal Tap known as Aabhayantar done with soul. Body for each individual
differs, one may or may not be fit for outer Tap. So one can use the best available tool of reading Jain holy books called Aagams.Only
fortunate human can be blessed to have chance to read "Jinwani".

It is a very strong Karma cutting tool. Swadhya means study of self. With soul study one can know the Universe and ways to free soul from Karmas. What one read or hear outside- for Jainism - may not be exactly meant by Mahaveerswami. Reasons may be human errors element. It is always possible till any one obtains Kevaldyana.
If we study Aagams directly ,we can know what is actually told by Bhagwan. The words used in those 32 Aagams are too perfect one.
One sample of Aagam is attached herewith for getting idea, it is in Ardhamaghdi language and easy for reading. One can study it and ask others to follow. One can take care to read it in specified time   and conditions given in books. Men and women can read it, there is  no restriction. Only women shall take care not to read it in 4 or days of period. It is very useful for future of child if they do Swadhya in
pregnancy period. If any one requires set of 32 Aagams  and any other religious books in hard copy form he can inquire details with contact number--01462- 251216 @ Beawar in Rajasthan-email ID--samyagdarshan@gmail.com. The office of Samyagdarshan is at    Jodhpur contact number is 0291-2626145. One can get books at no profit no loss cost basis. One can can search for Jain library for e-learning, 32 books price was  up to 3k, For record purpose, I do not have no marketing interest in it. It's onlyefforts for"Dharmaprabhvna.
We can learn and remember some of Aagams. I know so many good
Shrawaks who can recite Dushvekalik, Nandi and Uttaradhan Sutra.
11 Angasutra are being composed by fifth Ganghar of Bhagwan
Mahaveerswami being Sudharmaswani. Now He is Siddha by
achieving salvation. Let us do whatever is possible for "Swadhay ".
Remembering Aagam through Swadhya can be much helpful when
eye power and hearing power gets affected in old age. In such  a
situation doing Swadhya can offer much needed inner peace.

SAMAIK-INTRODUCTION TO PRATIKAMAN----------!!!

One can engage himself in Pratikaman in Samaik. Pratikaman is very essential component of Jainism. Aakraman is a known Hindi word. It means attack. Pratikaman is it's opposite. It is going back from what you did with sense of apology. It is daily cleaning of the our own
soul by a deep look into it. It involves self review of your all action on daily basis and feel sorry for misdeeds. Bhagwan termed it as a "Aavashyak Sutra".Aavashyak means compulsory daily twice times.
If you find any action done was unfair and might have caused pain to others ,you have to express regret. Pratikaman means you agree that certain sins and conduct were not worth doing it but due to the some  circumstances you have done it. Now while looking back, you regret the actions and say sorry for it. You also decides not to do it again or at least try to reduce it. Here you indirectly approve that what Pujya Bhagwan Mahaveer told is worth following but you failed to do it. For it now you have sense of falling in duty now- doing Pratikamn.
Pratikaman is being divided into six parts as  per following lines.
1-Samaik-It is taking vow for going for due Pratikaman in Samaik.
2-Loggas.-Praise of 24 Tirthankrs.
3-Vandana by Khamasana  2 Path to Arihant and Siddha Parmatma.
4-Pratikaman-- It is for 12 Sthul Vrata. Sthul means overall.
(for committed sins) and 12 Anuvrata( for sins not to commit in future -now deciding) with Vandana to 5 Padas of Panchparmesthi.
5-Karyotsarga It is Dyan with Loggas. Number of Loggas are differ for routine days and other days. They are-- Devasi (Before sunrise ) Rayasi (After sunset ) x 4 each, Pakkhi ( On full moon day) x 12, and Chomasi Pakkhi ( 3 quarterly full moon day Pakkhi ) x 20.
and Sawastari 40----Physical moments needs to be avoided as a rule.
6-Prathykhan--Taking some Niyam or vow for a particular day.
Complete Pratikaman covers five Pratikamans- Mitthyatava, Avrat,
Kashay, Pramad and Ashubhyog Ka Pratikaman.

True Shravakji and Sadhuji do daily two Pratikamans. However others can adjust as per time availability. One shall try not to miss Pakkhi Pratikaman. It can be learned within a month. Once familiar with it then take 48 minutes for completion. Main part is 4th one. It seeks apology for all misdeeds i.e. 14 of knowledge.5 for faith,5 for Salenkhna and 75 of 12 Vrata- total 99 types of sins for Shrawak.

Once you do it the coverage of misdeeds is not completely removed but the Bandh (attachment) is reduced to lower grade. In Pratikaman one has to review- the flash back of the particular day and express regret through mind and shall decide not to repeat the mistake to clean the soul .It is a good tool to  convert sins to milder version.
As we know crystal clean soul is basic condition to attain salvation. Bhagwan has termed it as "Aawashyakasutra" means a compulsory one. It denotes it's importance and emphasis doing it twice in a day.
